"The baby is beautiful and perfect," says Jennifer Hudson's publicist Lisa Kasteler. "His parents are ecstatic."

When Jennifer performed at the recent Michael Jackson memorial is stirred controversy since she had not announced she was pregnant yet appeared to be very close to her due date.

The media went crazy speculating which resulted in a firestorm of comments from the public who supported Jennifer's right to keep her possible pregnancy a secret.

Many of Jennifer's fans felt that due to the tragic loss of her family members in 2008 that Jennifer had the right to privacy.  Other fans did not agree.

Ultimately the end result is that Jennifer has announced the birth of her son and is very happy.  Mom and baby boy are doing fine.
