Eva Longoria's Hair At Life Ball In Vienna, Austria

Eva Longoria Parker and Hair Maestro Ken Paves have been collaborating together on eye popping, mouth dropping hairstyles for many years.  In the past I have written about how Ken Paves and Eva Longoria Parker are very likely Hair Soul Mates.

When it comes to the Desperate Housewife's hairstyles, Ken always strives to “communicate the vibe of hair at the moment".  Ken subscribes to the belief that "hair is all about undone glamour; hair that is organic and real, enhancing the woman wearing it!”

Ken recently accompanied Eva to the recent 2009 spectacular Life Ball in Vienna.  The purpose of the ball was to promote AIDS awareness.

What was his inspiration for Eva's stunning updo which worked perfectly with her gown?  Ken explained "I wanted to create a hairstyle which was dramatic and glamorous and befitting a masquerade ball."

Ken's inspiration for Eva's ultimate drop dead gorgeous hairstyle?  "A 60's Bridgette Bardot look with lots of gorgeous texture."

Step By Step

The amazing hair guru graciously shared the steps he took to create Eva's dazzling Sex Goddess look:

1.  Ken began by spraying volumizer to create lots of sensuous volume at the roots of Eva's towel blotted damp tresses.

2.  After parting Eva's hair down the middle, the hair master use a medium sized spornette mixed bristle round brush in combination with a blow dryer to dry the hair which was separated into 1" sections. 

3.  Once the round brushing of each section was complete and Eva's hair was completely dry, Ken teased the roots, adding more volumizing product for lots of texture.

4.  Ken smoothed Eva's hair and then twisted it up into a simple but elegant French twist the hair maestro learned from his Mom, Helen. 

5.  Using crossed bobby pins to secure the twist firmly in place, Ken finished the look with hairspray. 

6.  Adding a soft and sexy natural element to Eva's formal hairstyle, Ken used his fingers to smoothe and arrange her fringe so that it cascaded softly around her beautiful face.

How did Eva like the finished hairstyle?  Ken reported "she loved it!!!"  Mission accomplished.  A modern day version of a gorgeous 60s updo with class, elegance and sass.  Eva was truly the Belle of the Ball.
