Scarlett Johansson Hair

Introduction

Scarlett Johansson

Scarlett Johansson (born November 22, 1984) is willing to take risks with her hair.

Since she first burst onto the big screen in North in 1994, she's transitioned through a wide range of hair lengths, colors and styles from gorgeous platinum blonde to rich brunette and even red.

The beautiful star has worn every type of part and fringe. Fans have watched her grow from a young girl into a stunning sexy star.

One of Scarlett's most noteworthy hairstyles was when she wore her hair long, lush and full of big waves at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards. Her hair cascaded down around her shoulder from an off-center part.

Scarlett wore a strapless emerald green gown which perfectly complemented her stunning skin and stunning golden blonde hair bursting with platinum highlights.

The beautiful big bouncy waves which were interwoven throughout Scarlett's hair are surprisingly easy and quick to create.

How To Copy Scarlett's Hair - Step By Step

Whether your hair is straight or naturally curly, the method for creating Scarlett's big bouncy waves is the same.

Follow the steps below:

1. Cleanse your tresses with your normal hair care products. If your hair is chemically treated or colored make sure to use a product which supports your hair. You may prefer to opt for a revised cleansing formula such as Diluted Shampoo (DS), Water Only (WO), Low or No Poo or similar. 2. Rinse shampoo completely and apply a rinse-out conditioner from the ears down to the ends. Detangle from the roots to the ends with your fingers or a wide tooth comb. Finish with a cool or cold water rinse. 3. Towel blot hair and detangle hair further with a light conditioning spray or leave-in product like Phyto #7. Arrange hair in normal style. Apply appropriate styling cocktail including a defrisant, styling cream and/or gel. 4. Create desired part. Power blow dry hair until it is mostly dry with about 5% dampness. 5. Separate hair into 1" or 1 1/2" sections starting at the front of the head. Spray each individual section of hair with a good texturizing spray, gel or similar. 6. Roll each section with a rag roller or similar roller available from local beauty stores or made at home from old clean dry rags. 7. Direct hair up and back towards the crown as you roll. Tie the roller into place against your scalp. 8. When all your hair is rolled, use a blow dryer with a concentrator attachment and direct heat from dryer to each rolled section of hair. 9. After hair is 100% dry, let it cool down completely. 10. Carefully remove each rag roller or similar being careful not to touch each curl. 11. Shake your head to let the curls ease out. 12. Use your fingertips to carefully arrange curls. If you must style, use a wide toothed pick to help separate curls. 13. For spot curling use a hot curling iron by Conair, Remington or Helen Of Troy. 14. Finish by spraying your new set with firm hold hairspray.

Add hair accessories as an optional last step.

Remember that the more you touch your curls with your hands or a styling tool, the more you risk frizz or losing the bounciness of the new curls.

Making Rag Rulers

1. Use clean old cotton or flannel PJs, sheets or clothes. 2. Be sure that the material you use is soft and smooth and will not tear hair. 3. Use a sharp scissors and cut strips that are to 1 inch in width and 6 to 8 inches long depending on the thickness and current length of your hair. 4. If you have short hair you may want to keep the length to 6" and if you have long locks you may want to extend the length up to 12 inches, depending on how tight you want the curls to be rolled. 5. Experiment with one of two sample strips before you cut the entire amount.

Make enough strips to roll your entire head separated into 1 inch sections.

Remember that the smaller the roller and the least amount of hair that is rolled, the tighter and bouncier the curl. For softer or fuller curls, use more hair divided into bigger sections.
