Bobs of all lengths are classic haircuts which never really go out of style. This fact was proven this week by the appearance of platinum blonde pop star Christina Aguilera in a below-the-chin Bob hairstyle at her 29th birthday party.

Although Christina's below-the-chin length bob was both admired and dissed, it proves the point that Bobs will never ever really go out of style.

Although Bobs look relatively simple to create, finding a hairdresser who can create a crisp flawless bob is sometimes a challenge. Which brings up a great question. How do haircutters achieve the "every hair in its place" bob?

Hollywood hairdresser Robert Hallowell uses a popular mirror trick. After completing the bob haircut, Robert places a flat mirror directly under the perimeter of the bob. The horizontally positioned mirror provides a way for Robert to check the line at the perfect angle.

If the mirror indicates the line is not as clean as Robert wants, he will go back in a snip a little more to achieve absolutely perfection.

Robert also told me that cutting in the perfect light is also very important to clearly see the hair and avoid any shadows.

Robert also explained that the natural texture needs to be taken into serious consideration before cutting the bob to get the best lines and ultimate hair flows. He recommends pairing stick straight tresses with subtle layering throughout the body of the style to give the hair movement and beautiful body.

As far as bangs go, Robert believes it depends completely on the subject's face shape, eyes, hair type, texture and personal choice.

Face Shape: Brittany had a prominent chin and a classic heart shaped face. She looked best with hairstyles designed to fall either to her shoulders or in layers against her cheek and down past her chin to de-emphasize her chin.

Eyes: If you wish to draw instant attention to your peepers be sure to go for an eyebrow skimming fringe.

Hair Color: Her base color was a buttery blonde highlighted with light pale blonde hues. If you look closely you can see that her hair also have a beautiful but subtle hint of darker blonde lowlights which helped to add gorgeous demisions.

How To Copy Brittany's Hairstyle

Hairstyle Prep: Before this beautiful headband enhanced hairstyle was selected for Brittany by her celebrity hairdresser, the star discussed the gown selected for her by her stylist for the Red Carpet Event.

What most people may not know is that in Hollywood the fashion stylist, hairdresser, makeup artist and even the jewelers (if any are used) all work together to pull together the desired look.

In Her "Happy Feet" premiere appearance Brittany looked stunning and everything worked beautiful.

Complete the following steps listed below to copy and flaunt Brittany's gorgeous hairstyle:

Step 1: Shampoo and condition your hair with your normal products designed for your current hair type, texture and condition.

Step 2: Towel blot strands. Avoid rubbing wet hair which is more fragile and can break. Detangle strands from the ends to the roots.

Step 3: Apply your favorite texture enhancing mousse, styling cream or similar styling product. Distribute from the top of the ears to the ends. Distribute well. If you prefer, mix with a good leave-in conditioner for super shine and softness.

To protect against blow drying heat and add body distribute a leave-in conditioner, mousse or gel from the top of the ears to the ends. Distribute well.

Step 4: Use a paddle or round boar's bristle brush with a blow dryer to dry hair straight and remove any ridges, especially along the hairline or top of the head.

Step 5: When hair is almost dry, you may optionally flip head over at the waist and direct a round boar bristle brush through underneath hair to add volume and super-smoothness.

If you have a cool/cold shot finish with a last blast of cool air to seal cuticles. Flip head right side up.

Note: Not all hair experts agree with flipping head over at the waist due to higher risk of tangling from reversing hair direction.

Step 6: Separate hair into individual two inch sections. Apply a styling cream or spray and either curl hair with a medium barrel curling iron or set on hot rollers.

Keep in mind the size of the barrel of the curling iron impacts the resulting size of the curls created. The smaller the barrel of the iron, the smaller the curl.

After creating curls reform them with your fingers and allow to completely cool before brushing them out.

Step 7: Remove curls and rake with fingers. Use a a boar's bristle brush for a super sleek look. Direct hair off the face using fingers to smooth and tighten. Create desired part and direct hair towards the opposite side to create the side-swept fringe.

Step 8: Arrange loose waves and perimeter curls with fingers. Do not comb. Use a hot iron to touch up and equalize curls.

Spray the finished pony with a good holding hairspray Hairspray to try: PhytoPro - Instant Hold Spray #15). Add optional swipe of shine serum. Shine product to try: Phyto - PhytoLisse (Formerly Phytodefrisant RelaxSerum)

If you use a shine serum apply a tiny drop of shine serum, drops or spray into the palms of your hands. Lightly brush the palms over the top of your style and you are ready to rock.
