Hollywood Hairdresser Ken Paves Talks Hot Summer Hair Trends

I recently caught up with my long time friend and Hollywood Hair Guru, Ken Paves who is famous for styling the tresses of some of the most beautiful celebrity women in the world.

Besides his long time clients Jennifer Lopez and Jessica Simpson, Ken has created eye popping, mouth dropping hairstyles for Eva Longoria Parker, Victoria Beckham, Christina Applegate, Lady GaGa, Megan Fox and Kim Kardashian.

Ken shared some of his favorite summer trends with me.

So how does Ken recommend you looks gorgeous during summer months?

The Hollywood hairdresser said "go for a very fresh and modern, effortless look," He believes in keeping things easy.  He said "Try bangs and more layers than usual for a glamorous yet ‘undone' modern shag. The key to this look is to keep it simple and natural."

Waves Are Stunning

Ken is also a huge fan of waves.  He thinks waves are stunning.  He said "Glamorous yet effortless waves. When creating waves, you can work with your fingers and brush. I use my fingers when I want a more tousled look - usually when I'm working with their natural texture."

The Mane Man for some of the most gorgeous celebrity women in the world never goes anywhere without his trusty Mason Pearson brush.  He said "I also like to use a Mason Pearson brush to give the waves volume. You can use a curling iron and then pin them into pin curls to allow waves to set."

Ken's year-round advice? "Everyone can look glamorous. Glamour is about not being afraid to embrace your own feminine grace, from the ‘Old Hollywood' names to Jennifer Lopez. It becomes your style by wearing it with confidence."

Daily Hair Tip
To protect against potential heat damage to your hair, always use a blow drier on the coolest setting and make sure to apply a good leave in conditioner that will protect the hair shaft from the dryer.
