Michelle Williams Wins For Fashion At 2009 Spirit Awards

Actress Michelle Williams was in attendance at the 2009 Film Independent Spirit Awards which was held at Santa Monica Beach in Santa Monica, California on Saturday, February 21st.

Since the awards are more casual then the ultra formal Oscars or Golden Globes, the beautiful blonde rocked a simple sleeveless pocket white sheath dress with black and gray strips vertical stripes.

She paired the dress with black heels and a matching bag.  Michelle's accessories were simple to match her chic attire.

Michelle wore her hair with a deep side part and a side-swept fringe which brushed over the top of one eye and flowed into a side panel.  The back of her hair was wrapped up into a soft twist.

Although Michelle was nominated for 2009 Best Female Lead she had some very stiff competition.  The nominees in her category were Summer Bishil in Towelhead, Anne Hathaway in Rachel Getting Married, Melissa Leo in Frozen River and Tarra Riggs in Balast.  Michelle was nominated for her work in Wendy and Lucy.

It has not been confirmed whether Michelle will attend the 2009 Academy Awards where her deceased finance Heath Ledger is expected to win for Best Supporting Actor.  It has been reported by the media that Michelle still suffers from the sudden loss of Heath and her daughter's father one year ago.
