Tips For Hot Curls For Naturally Curly, Wavy, Kinky Hair

If you have naturally curly, wavy or kinky hair create these styles by:

1. Cleanse with your favorite routine whether it's Water Only (WO), Diluted Shampoo (DS), Conditioner Only (CO) or similar. You can even do a temporary cleanse with a homemade or commercial dry shampoo.

2. Apply a rinse out conditioner, if appropriate to your hair type, texture and condition. Towel blot and then apply your best curl enhancing styling cocktail including a defrisant, curl enhancing mousse, cream or balm or similar.

3. Use a long finger diffuser to create curls or separate into individual sections and wrap tightly around fingers, pin and allow hair to air dry into desired curl shape. If you use a diffuser be sure to reroll curls as your hair dries.

4. Unpin when dry and use fingers to arrange curls into loose cascades or pull hair up into two matching buns pinned at the crown. Pull strands out from each bun to create a tousled look. Arrange curls so that the two hair buns are bridged by loose ringlets.

3. Use a long finger diffuser to create curls or separate into individual sections and wrap tightly around fingers, pin and allow hair to air dry into desired curl shape.

If you use a diffuser be sure to reroll curls as your hair dries.

4. Unpin when dry. If you find that the curls are not as tight as you would like use a curling iron to form tighter texture. After curling each section pin to the scalp and let it completely cool.

5. After you have curled, pinned and cooled your strands spritz with a light holding spray.

6. Unpin each ringlet. Bend over at the waist and lightly shake out strands to loosen. Use fingers to gently style or pull up into a loose pony or double crown based bun.

Be Creative To Create Hot Curly Hairstyles

After curls are completely dry avoid touching the curls again except for gentle arranging with fingers or possibly a wide tooth hair pick.

If you brush or comb your curls after it is completely dry it will most likely become fuzzy and frizzy.

If you wish to restyle your hair, use a spray bottle of clear water to mist long curly tresses.

Keep a bottle in your handbag to use in emergencies if the weather changes to humid or rainy or your hair unexpectedly becomes out of control.
