Astrological Guide To Hair Care
IntroductionHave you ever wondered why you are drawn to some hair care products and totally bored by others? Do you follow the latest hair trends or do you hold on tight to your own hair individuality? Do you faithfully go to the same hair consultant even though they no longer please you? Do you jump from stylist to stylist with no sense of purpose or loyalty? A lot of the answers to how you wear your hair and the hair care products you use may actually be written in the stars. I have compiled some astrological information on some very general hair trends by astrological sun signs. Please keep in mind that this article is written for entertainment purposes only. Hint: If you know what your rising sign is, you should read that section as well. If you are a Cancer with Libra rising, read both the Cancer and Libra sections. Aries (March 21 - April 20)
As a general rule you may tend to be daring and attracted to risks in all areas of your life. Your sense of adventure would include the type of hairstyles and hair trends that you adopt. Aries loves to stay up on the latest and most exciting hair trends. You probably love to be the first to try any new hair fads. You may also be image-conscious, so you may feel most assured when you are able to keep all the latest hair products on hand. You are probably drawn to products that show "instant" results since you tend to get impatient with anything that takes too much time or trouble. Aries is ruled by Mars which is the "Red" planet. Therefore, at some time in your life you may feel an overwhelming urge to color or highlight your hair with shades of red. Since you tend to get bored easily, always consider hair styles that you can wear in a variety of ways. If you do color your hair, you may want to first try a temporary color before you make a long term commitment. You may get impatient growing your hair long. If you want the feel of long locks, consider temporary hair pieces before you make the long term commitment. Taurus is ruled by Venus the planet of beauty. Some of the most beautiful people in the world are born under the sign of Taurus. Even people who are not considered classic beauties, like Barbara Streisand, can look absolutely gorgeous when they find their beauty niche. You may tend to stick to a tried-and-true hair and beauty routine. You are also more skeptical of products with claims that may sound just a little too good to be true. You also probably like to keep the same hairstyle once you have found the most flattering one. Unlike Aries, who may impulsively change hairstyles on a whim, you will only change your hair or your hair care products after a lot of serious thought. You don't want to take any foolish risks in life or with your hair. As an earthy Taurus you probably prefer an earthy or understated look to your hair. You are least likely to go for the latest hair trends. It is doubtful that you would adopt hair trends that are totally outrageous or bizarre. It would be a surprise to see you with purple streaks and sequined feathers in your hair. You prefer the classic and elegant look for your hair. This would match your typical fashion trends which are simple but classy. Venus often provides Taurus with thick and naturally healthy hair. Cher was famous for her thick gorgeous jet black long hair. If you are blessed with thick healthy Taurus hair, medium to longer lengths would be a great choice for you. Venus not only rules beauty and gorgeous hair, but it rules jewelry and flowers and perfumes. With this in mind, you may love to adorn your hair with beautiful hair jewelry, clips or accessories. A braid with tiny flowers woven into the braids would look wonderful if you wear your hair longer. Emeralds are also ruled by Venus. You are ruled by Mercury and are known as the sign of the twins. When it comes to your hair, you almost never wear your hair exactly the same for any extended period of time. You may actually go through periods where you try a new hair look every single day. Or you may go through moods where your hair changes colors on a regular basis. As far as you are concerned, you want to have fun with your hair. You are always willing to try a new and different hair look or product. After all, you may find the product that you have always been looking for. You may wind up looking younger than ever before, or get some new inspiration on caring for your hair. With your twin natures you may enjoy having a couple of basic hair looks that you can alternate. You may have a look for day and a look for evening. You may also like to be creative and give your hair a lot of different looks at the same time. For example, you might enjoy adding a wild and shaggy fringe to waist length hair. You might also love to experiment with all types of hair accessories that give you an easy new look without a lot of muss or fuss. Geminis need to be careful with new hair products. Your natural curiosity and optimism is wonderful, but don't believe everything you hear about new hair products. If it sounds too good to be true, proceed carefully. Some famous Gemini beauties include Courtney Cox, Nicole Kidman, Marilyn Monroe, Helen Hunt, Naomi Campbell, Annette Bening and Stevie Nicks (my personal favorite). Cancer (June 22 - July 23)
You are ruled by the intuitive, moody and emotional moon. Therefore, your hair will tend to change with the fluctuations of the Moon. Cancers give new meaning to changeable hair. You do tend to have very strong opinions about what looks good with your hair regardless of what your hair consultant may advise. You should always follow your own feelings about your hair because in the long run, you do know what is best. You often choose hair products based on your first impulse and following your impulse is often the best approach. The Moon often bestows Cancers with thick and naturally wavy hair. You may prefer to wear your hair close to your face so that you can feel the silkiness of your hair against your skin. If you have the thick and wavy Cancer hair, you can benefit from wearing your hair long. Famous Cancerians Michelle Rodriquez and Pamela Anderson Lee prefers longer tresses. You tend to be traditional with your hairstyles and are rarely willing to adopt wild and bizarre new trends. Once you find a haircare product that works for you, cling to it for dear life. You feel uncomfortable with change and the same is true with your haircare products. You will tend to stay with the same hairstylist for a long time, even if you are dissatisfied with the results. It is a mistake for you to hold onto a bad hairstylist. You need a stylist that will empathize with your need to feel secure about how your hair looks. Famous Cancer beauties include Michelle Rodriquez, Meryl Streep, Isabelle Adjani, Carly Simon, Courtney Love, Jerry Hall and the late Princess Diana (who was considered to have beautiful hair). Leo (July 24 - August 23)
Leo women are often famous for their beauty. Madonna is world famous for her displaying dramatic looks and wild hair styles. Madonna has been known to change her hair color or style with little or no warning. Most of the time her hair is stunning. Leo is ruled by the Sun. Leo is never one to be a wallflower or understated. You probably like bold and dramatic hairstyles. The Sun is the provider of light. Many Leo women are often blonde at some point in their life, or want to be. If you are a true Leo you love lots of attention and will probably prefer to wear your hair in styles that get you noticed. While it is a great idea to pump up the glitz with your hair, it is important to not go too far overboard. Gold is the color of Leo. You can brush some wonderful golden luster onto your hair by using temporary highlights. Place a few golden highlights just around your face and at the crown. Use gold for blonde hair, bronze for brown hair, copper for red hair and shimmering burgundy for black hair. Never stay with a hairstylist that does not pamper and adore you. You need special attention and consideration when it comes to your hair. You also need to be the boss. Leo is the sign of the Lion. Often you are attracted to long manes which can suit you well. You are willing to spend money on your hair and may be willing to pay for the best hair care products. More than any other sign, your hair is your crowning glory. Some famous Leo beauties include Halle Berry, Madonna, Tawny Kitaen, Kathie Lee Gifford and the late Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. Virgo (July 24 - August 23)
As a Virgo, you are ruled by Mercury, the mental planet. You are probably very concerned with making smart decisions regarding your hair care. You may tend to be a perfectionist about the quality of the products you use. You also may tend to prefer products that are more natural and use less chemicals. You would be happiest using any hair care products that were environmentally safe or did not use animal testing. You are likely to consider experimenting with homegrown haircare recipes that take advantage of herbs and natural ingredients. You would also be most likely to believe in the importance of nutrition and vitamins for growing beautiful hair. As a Virgo you would also tend to prefer the more natural look for your hair. Many Virgos will wear longer hair that flows naturally and is easier to take care of. You would probably be uncomfortable with a hairstylist that was sloppy, tardy or incompetent. Virgo is an earthy sign and you tend to be more earthly and practical than a lot of the other astrological sun signs. You prefer practicality over glitz and fads. Libra, like Taurus, is ruled by the Venus, the planet of love and beauty. Libra is the sign of the scales and considered to be one of the most beautiful sun signs. Overall balance is important to you and it is part of your eternal quest. As a true Libran you may strive to create an overall look rather than emphasizing any specific part. With your need to create balance you would try to display a total beauty look with beautiful hair that was in harmony. Heather Locklear is a famous Libran beauty with a gorgeous blonde mane. She wears her hair in a longer style. It provides her with the balance that her beautiful face and stunning figure require. While her hair is lovely, it is part of her overall look. As a Libran, your hair care routine is probably very important to you and you are willing to spend money on quality products. Scorpios are ruled by Pluto. This planetary rules provides a need for mystery and extremes in beauty. Pluto loves transformation and drama. You may love to re-create yourself though your hairstyle or overall appearance. You may also find that you have a lot of confidence in your different looks. It doesn't even matter how unusual or eccentric your different hair looks may be. Demi Moore has demonstrated the Scorpion trend to wear unusual hairstyles. She has gone from the long luscious locks she displayed in the movie Striptease to the shaved look in GI Jane. The true Pisces personality is dreamy and artistic. Your hairstyle should reflect your personality. If you are a true Pisces you may have an unpretentious attitude about your hair and may tend to change your hairstyle almost as often as you change your mind.
