From Art Student To Hair Color Guru

An art student who studied painting in college, Beth received her bachelor of arts degree in education. She began her legendary career in hair color at Clairol where she was instrumental in the development and launch of Logics Color Cremes. Ultimately she became the director of education at that esteemed company.

Beth has shared in interviews that her family was "not happy" that she pursued a career in a profession they considered a "blue collar endeavor."

In addition to her busy salon schedule, Beth assumed the role of special consultant to Redken where she penned the monthly Shades E.Q. newsletter, lectured to thousands of colorists throughout America, and was part of the product development team which created Redken Color Fusion.

Inspired by Vidal Sassoon because of his belief that hairdresser and coloring was an art form, Beth has dedicated her entire career to promoting salon hair coloring to its highest form.

Besides her award winning work behind the chair, Beth dedicates herself to product consultation and teaching her craft to thousands of eager hair professionals.

Beth is the co-creator and featured educator at the annual Color America with Beth Minardi. With Carmine she teaches the popular Minardi Beauty Focus in New York City. Beth is regularly called upon to evaluate the new color products being introduced to the professional salon market.

Additionally she has worked with several professional salon manufacturers on the development of their color lines.

The iconic colorist serves as a contributing editor to periodicals including Modern Salon, Process, and Behindthechair.com.

Her education, including live seminars, workshops, DVDs, books and special events is considered state-of-the-art by colorists.

Although there's probably no hair color Beth can't conquer with one hand tied behind her back, she's well-known for her work with reds colors and her uncanny ability to create the right reds for everyone.
