About Barbara Lhotan

Introduction

Barbara Lhotan is known as the "Personal Trainer" for stylists wishing to be experts with long or naturally curly hair. She was the director of education for Renaissance Salon in Smithtown, New York until she left to work with the nationally recognized Elie Elie Salon in Tysons Corner, Virginia. Barbara is a National Educator for John Paul Mitchell Systems.

She has earned photo credits in magazines that include Inspire and Women.

Barbara is committed to education and keeps her skills sharp by attending academies such as Vidal Sassoon, Jim Jones Clipper Cutting, Hair Color USA, Paul Mitchell Hawaiian Seminar, Color cutting USA and many, many others.

When Barbara Lhotan is not creating spectacular new styles for long hair she is traveling around the country creating long hair masterpieces for hair shows and extravaganzas.

Her successful book, 5 Minute Trendy Updos published by Inspire was stunning and it featured leading edge styles.

Until moving to Virginia to work with the esteemed Elie Elie, Barbara had been a fixture for the several years as a stylist at the New York Fashion 7th on Sixth Extravaganza as part of Team Paul Mitchell.

Since its inception in 1993, 7th on Sixth has become the backbone of the fashion industry and one of New York City's most prestigious fashion events.

Barbara produced the HairBoutique.com's first major professional photo shoot in New York in the Spring of 2001. Her stunning hair styles that resulted in the HairBoutique.com 2001 Spring Collection which can be viewed in the HairBoutique.com galleries.

Barbara also has her own gallery at HairBoutique.com that showcases some of her styles from past photo shoots and her work with the creation of the 5 Minutes Trendy Updos book.

Barbara's fabulous styles were recently featured in the Fall 2001 issue of Dallas Women Magazine.
