Demi Lovato is a 17 year old Disney Channel Star who is breaking into a new chapter of her life. The raven haired Demi stepped out onto the 2009 American Music Award Red Carpet wearing a nude hued dress which some referred to as peachy while others claimed it had more pink undertones. Regardless of the actual color, the dress was offset by a stunning crystal studded necklace which captured all eyes as the young beauty strolled into the AMA show. Demi was a presenter along with 2009 American Idol champ Kris Allen. The Texas native who still lives mostly at home with her parents in Colleyville (a suburb outside of Dallas/Fort Worth, treated herself to a new black 2010 Mercedes E350 as a delayed bithday gift. Demi's car came from Park Place Motorcars where her uncle David De La Garza works. The star of the movie Camp Rock and the Disney TV show Sonny With A Chance was in Canada during her actual August birthday filming Camp Rock: The Final Jam with the Jonas Brothers. Although she split with Race Cyrus, older brother of Miley Cyrus, rumors of her relationship with Joe Jonas have been shot down by Demi on Twitter. She tweeted "There's been a lot of rumors lately that I'm dating one of my best friends Joe," she wrote in a midnight tweet. "I can promise my entire career that I am not." One minute later, she followed that thought with, "We've NEVER dated. He's incredible, but we don't have feelings for each other in that way. I love you guys, and I wouldn't lie about that." Demi's mom is a former Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader (Dianna Hart De La Garza and her step sister, 7 year old Madison De La Garza plays Eva Longoria Parker's eldest daughter Juanita on ABC's Desperate Housewives.

Demi Lovato has that cute girl next door vibe and wears her glossy dark brunette tresses in a similar fashion most of the time. Demi appears to prefer wearing her hair soft, shiny and sleek cascading from a side part with one side falling into an eyebrow skimming side-swept fringe. Demi's video "Don't Forget" features her with bouncy yet relaxed tresses. The star's hairstyle was achieved with the help of a professional hair stylist. Keep in mind that your ability to perfectly copy Demi's hairstyle depends on your own hair type, texture, length and condition. If you wish to attempt her hairstyle sans wig follow the steps below: 1. Start by selecting a shampoo and conditioner with a color safe formula like the Phyto Colored Hair System, to preserve any platinum blonde base, highlights or lowlight hues. If your hair is chemically treated or colored, consider using a color appropriate shampoo like Rene Furterer Okara Repairing Shampoo or select a shampoo that works with your current texture, type and condition of hair. Eliminate dry strands with J.F. Lazartigue Micro Pearl Shampoo for Dry hair. 2 Apply a rinse out conditioner that works for your hair's normal texture, type and condition. Consider trying a color co-ordinated mask such as Okara Restructuring and Protective Radiance Mask to intensify your existing color. Avoid using the conditioner on super fine hair or near the roots. 3. Finish with a cool/cold rinse to close the cuticle and help add natural shine. 4. Towel blot (never rub or rough dry) to remove excess water. 5. Coat damp strands with your favorite customized styling product cocktail containing styling tools such as a defrisant, volume building mousse, gel or other styling products that work best with your hair texture and type.Detangle working slowly from the ends to the roots. 6. Blow dry using a large round boar's bristle brush (shown to the side - Conair Round Brush) for strong, lasting support. When hair is 100% dry use a tail comb or brush to create the desired part. Separate hair into individual 2" sections and set on large sized hot rollers, or curl with a large barrel curling iron to add movement to the strands. Curling Without Hot Rollers If curling with a curling iron, after working with each section, roll the newly formed curl with your fingers up towards your scalp and pin into place to allow the curl to cool completely. Work around the entire head until all sections have been curled and pinned to the scalp. Spritz lightly with a soft hold hairspray. Note: This style can also be created with a wet set which is allowed to air-dry or dry under a hood style hair dryer. Curling With Hot Rollers
If curling with hot rollers, let the curlers completely cool before removing. Once all the rollers have been released, let new curls dangle free before styling. Spritz lightly with a soft hold hairspray. 9. Use your fingers and/or a boar's head brush to lightly break up the curls and arrange into a soft finished cascade of soft ringlet-like curls which terminate into a slight curl at the tips. Apply a small drop of shine serum to the tips of your fingers and massage into the palms of your hands. Lightly brush your serum infused palms over the top of the finished hairstyle. If you prefer, use a shine spray product and spray into the palms of your hands and then glide over finished style.
