Kyra Sedgwick Dished On SAG Red Carpet About The Closer

The first celebrity interview on People and TNT's SAG Awards was held by the gorgeous Thea Andrews (wearing a one shoulder red draping gown) with a breathtakingly beautiful Kyra Sedgwick who was nominated for a Outstanding Performer For A Female Actor in a Drama Series.

The star of the popular "The Closer" on TNT (I'm a fan) was stunning in a strapless white Vera Wang gown accented by sheer silver, white and gray banding at the waist and diagonal across the top of the gown. Kyra's Vera Wang was accented by a gorgeous brooch pinned at the waist.

Her jewelry and accessories were minimal but her gown was a perfect fit. She looked like a cross between a Grecian Gown and an angel. Her make-up was perfection. Her eyes were highlighted by her hairstyle and looked amazing.

Kyra's blonde hair worn up in a breathtaking soft but sleek French style twist. The front of her hair was coiffed with a softly swirled side-swept fringe which flowed off a deep side part. Kyra's hair was in perfect harmony with her long gown. Who did her hair? It was truly elegant and sexy. I think this was my favorite hairstyle on Kyra's in a long time.

Thea said "it's kinda nice for you tonight because your husband (Kevin Bacon) is also nominated." Kyra "I know, I know, it's fantastic. It's so nice" Thea "did you do that thing in the limo 'you're going to win, no no you're going to win, no you've got a better shot." Kyra answered emphatically "No. No, we didn't really talk about it."

Thea "well the character you play on the show (TNT's "The Closer" is so great she's tough, but she's quirky which makes her great. What do you love about playing her?"

Kyra said "I love that she's so multi-dimensional and so contradictory. She can be incredibly fragile and flawed and then she can be incredibly strong and scary and I think that's great."

Thea "we love watching her. Good luck to you and of course to Kevin tonight. Have fun."

Sadly Kyra did not win The Actor as the SAG is called but her husband Kevin Bacon did win and when it was announced Kyra gave her husband a moving kiss and embrace which has been labeled one of the Great Love Stories of the 2010 SAG Awards.

Kyra told the media after the SAG telecast was over that her hubby Kevin Bacon was a bundle of nerves before his name was announced as best male actor in a TV movie or miniseries for his role in HBO's "Taking Chance", but wife Kyra Sedgwick kept him looking his best.

How? "I had to blot his face a little," she admitted to PEOPLE at the afterparty.
