Asymmetric Big Hair Roll From 60s

Leave it to the hair gurus at John Paul Mitchell Systems to be first to identify the latest hair trends hot off the runways.

John Paul Mitchell's Lucie Doughty, Paul Mitchell Editorial Director and JPMS Master Associate Maureen McCarthy have identified a hot hair movement for Spring 2009 based on the latest 2009 Fashion Runways.

According to Lucie Douhty big 60's hair is back including big beautiful Beehives and big Hair Rolls.

Lucie and Maureen created a fabulous asymmetric big hair roll example and graciously provided details steps for re-creating the look.

Look #6: Steps (Model Sabella)

A.    Prep hair with Paul Mitchell Quick SlipTM applied to damp hair to smooth and add texture.

B.    Section out a 2-inch band around the front hairline.

C.    Back-brush, backcomb or tease the rest of the hair using a Paul Mitchell 413 Sculpting Brush to create a light,

airy texture.

D.    Lightly spray and gather back portion of hair into a loose ponytail at the nape. Push hair up to create height, secure with pins. Secure with Paul Mitchell Extra-Body Finishing Spray®.

E.    Take down the front hairline; place in a center part and then smooth with a comb and secure ends with pins at the nape of the neck.
