Camyrn Manheim's Long Luscious Brunette Hair
Hollywood Hairdresser Robert Hallowell emailed me recently (July 9, 2003) to let me know "I did a great shoot with Camyrn Manheim for Glamour (Magazine) yesterday, it went great and I gave her a Veronica Lake look for the October issue."
Robert has been coiffing Camyrn for years, even back in "the day". Camyrn is an incredible actress, but no foreigner to controversy. At the 1998 Emmy Awards which was the height of sleek hair and backless dresses on the Red Carpet, Camyrn went with a different hairstyle.
The LA Times on September 14, 1998 sniped "too bad Camyrn Manheim, a popular winner (she won Emmy in 1998 for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for The Practice), didn't get the neat hair message and went for a fussy up-do."
Although the fashion police damned her messy hair, the beloved actress Emmy was very much-deserved for her amazing work in The Practice.
In her acceptance speech she shouted "this is for all the fat girls!" Her nod to fat girls has been included since that point as one of the "controversies" which has occurred at the Emmy Awards throughout history.
While Camyrn is famous for embracing her body the way it is, she is also known for her long, extension free, rich chocolate brown hair which often extends down to the top or just below her waist.
It's one of her personal signatures and a refreshing look which adds an element of special beauty to the lovely women.
Robert "adores Camyrn" and loves working with her. He told me she is "lovely" and of course an "amazing actress".
What else is the busy Hollywood hair man up to? He concluded in his email "I also have been making Jennifer Love Hewitt into a beautiful blonde for her next project, she looks amazing!"
In his spare time Robert's "been busy setting up a new office/warehouse, taking over some of the things I was contracting out for".
Leave it to Robert to make lots of new things happen in the hair trade.
