The New York Post reported today that Reality TV Star and stylist-to-the-stars, Rachel Zoe, has split with Los Angeles-based talent manager Todd Shemarya.  Shemarya is considered by those in the know to be the mastermind behind a number of Rachel Zoe-branded businesses.

Rachel Zoe is not Shemarya's only success story.  Shemarya has negoatiated mega-successful deals for clients including  Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio and Matthew McConaughey.

He's been working with Zoe since 2006.  Zoe has styled celebrity clients including Anne Hathaway, Cameron Diaz, Nicole Richie, Lindsay Lohan and Jennifer Garner.

Many in the know believe that Zoe became a household name as a result of Shemarya.  He not only helped Zoe land deals to produce clothing lines for QVC, he also helped her land her Bravo reality TV show which is about her life as a stylist along with endorsements deals with Piperlime, Bing and others.

Her new designer collection was also reportedly negotiated by Shemarya.

The New York Post reported that the Zoe/Shemarya relationship ended with year.  Zoe is now working with William Morris Agency along with her husband Roger Berman to grow her business empire.

Although sources speculated that the split between Shemarya and Zoe was ugly, Shemarya denies the allegations.  He said via email “We had a great time and accomplished a lot in this time frame.”

“This year we came to a mutual agreement that we had pretty much accomplished everything we could together and it was time for us to separate. No drama. I think Rachel is a very talented woman and I wish her all success in her future; we just saw the future differently.”

Shemarya said Zoe left his agency because “her passion was more for fashion than business.” A rep for Zoe didn’t return calls.
