ICMAD Independent Cosmetic Mfgrs Technical/Regulatory 2011 Forum Set For Southern California

ICMAD, the Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers and Distributors will host the sixth annual Cosmetic Technical/Regulatory Forum on Thursday, February 24, 2011, at the Balboa Bay Club and Resort in Newport Beach, California.

The cosmetic industry has been under considerable scrutiny this year—from questions about ingredients and claims to new legislation that could be highly detrimental to all cosmetic and personal care companies.

This 2011 edition provides updates on a number to hot topics as well as information on how to ensure that your company is “doing it right” by understanding and learning how to comply the rules.

This year’s topics include presentations on: Claims Support for Advertisers, Cosmetic Safety Obligations, Cosmetic GMPs and ISO Guidelines; Status of Legislative Activity, Material Safety Data Sheet Requirements and Cosmetic Ingredient Current Issues. This 2011 session presents a unique opportunity to hear and question some of the best regulatory and technical experts in the industry.

The cost for each day remains the same as last year, $375 for ICMAD Members and $550 for nonmembers, with a discount for early registration. New this year, members of other cosmetic industry organizations may register at the ICMAD member rate. Online registration is available at www.icmad.org/calendar.

For more information, call the ICMAD office at 1-800-334-2623 or email info@icmad.org.

Professional hairstylists often use a "rat" to create a full French twist or updo. A rat is a special form used to wrap hair around.
