Robert James Clayborn Offers 100% Organic, Eco Hair Extensions

San Francisco Celebrity Stylist Robert Clayborn - Master Of Eco Hair Extensions at Robert James Color

Robert James Clayborn, owner of the Bay Area's first highly specialized hair studio is a national resource on hair color and all-natural hair extensions.

SAN FRANCISCO - In January of 2008, Robert James opened San Francisco hair studio, Robert James Color, specializing in professional hair coloring services and 100% organic, eco hair extensions. Robert James Color, one of several renegade new highly specialized hair studios nationwide, is one of the first beauty businesses to fill its specific niche nationwide.

Before opening his eponymous hair studio, Robert James honed his skills at Vidal Sasoon, Beverly Hills where he was responsible for Gwen Stefani's return to her iconic blond look in conjunction with the release of Rock Steady in 2001. He was instrumental in the blonde Dior-clad look that tore up the red carpet at the Grammys in 2001.

While living and working in Los Angeles, Robert James also colored the heads of Rose McGowan, Alyssa Milano, Carmen Electra and other Hollywood greats while styling for shoots in the likes of Wallpaper*, Vogue Italia and Surface magazines.

Robert James brings a rare celebrity pedigree to San Francisco and his chic new Nob Hill hair studio. Since opening this year, he has received wide local acclaim including mention as "Best One Hit Wonder" in 7x7 San Francisco magazine's annual "Best Of" Issue and a segment on local TV show View from the Bay, watched by 30,000 daily.

An insider favorite, Robert has fitted Modern Luxury's bridal editor Karen Palmer with his eco extensions and been entrusted with the perfectly blond tresses of Daily Candy San Francisco editor Kim Miller and Mayor Gavin Newsom's new wife and actress, Jennifer Siebel.

Robert's 100% organic eco hair extensions are made with real imported European hair, affixed to existing locks with an organic tree resin bond.

Unlike other "natural" extensions that affix human hair with chemical bonds, the extensions at Robert James Color are all-natural with no chemical by products, causing no harm to humans or the environment.

"My extensions look completely natural because they are just that, 100% organic. These aren't the mermaid-like extensions we're seeing on Jessica Simpson. These are extensions for real women who want thicker, fuller hair for special occasions or the beautification of their everyday lives," says Robert James.

Robert James Color, an apartment-style hair studio focused on individual attention, brings San Francisco its first beauty business devoted to professional hair color services and 100% organic eco hair extensions.

The 600-square-foot space, conceptualized entirely by Robert James, includes eye-catching conversation pieces such as pop-themed art from Los Angeles-based artist Nelson de la Nuez and a thriving ecosphere on the reception desk. A 100% recycled cardboard wall by MIO Culture divides the salon's color treatment chairs from the shampoo room in back. Tropical plants, real grass, walnut wood floors, citron walls and vintage Eames chairs complete the playfully modern décor. Robert James Color is located at 1005 Bush Street (at Jones Street).

Daily Hair Tip
Know your hair type and be realistic about what hair styles work best with it. Don't agree to a new hair style that you know in your heart will be impossible to duplicate at home.
