Joan Rivers Hosts How'd You Get So Rich?

Whether you are a fan or not, comedy queen Joan Rivers has been wowing audiences on the current version of The Celebrity Apprentice with Donald Trump.    Her popularity has not gone unnoticed.

The man behind Survivor and The apprentice, Mark Burnett , has created a new reality show, How'd You Get So Rich, and Joan is the new hostess.

The 75 year old Joan Rivers will be knocking on doors of the mega-rich and asking them how they got their money for the benefit of the cameras.

In the very first episode Joan will be visiting a 90,000 square foot house where the master bedroom has a full kitchen.  When Joan discovers the owner of the fabulous house lives there with his second wife she quips in true Joan Rivers fashion "lets see the house from the first wife."

The reality show about the mega-rich will air in the Spring of 2009 and is expected to be a reality show hit.

When quetioned about the show Mark Burnett said the mega-rich were not shy about discussing how they got their money.  Joan will not just be knocking on the doors of the mega-rich.  She will also be hijacking luxury car owners to get the scoop on where they got their cash.

Joan will be popping in on rich folks from LA to New York and will even be stopping people on the street if it seems appropriate at the time.  So far there has been no mention of Melissa Rivers as part of the show.  Joan and Melissa are often joined at the hip and are even on The Celebrity Apprentice together, although on opposing teams.

Don't be surprised if Melissa doesn't pop up on the show or at least is working as a producer behind the scenes.  Which is not a bad thing.  The Mother/Daughter team definitely work well together and audiences love them.
