Her hair had lots of lush body and movement and was slightly turned under at the edges. Her hair looked shiny, soft and slightly tousled but still with a beautiful finish.
January looked incredibly relaxed while she was being interviewed by E!.
Red Velvet Cupcakes To Calm Nerves
In fact, when asked how she prepared for the awards and how she was doing she said she was feeling very relaxed and was happy to be at the party. Why? The answer was the cupcakes.
Celebrity Hairdresser Mark Townsend
January said her hairdresser - Mark Townsend - brought her red velvet cupcakes to eat when he came to do her hair. Seriously? Red velvet cupcakes? If that's the case celebrity hairdresser Mark Townsend just became one of my favorites.
January said the pressure was off of her at these SAG awards because she was not personally nominated for an award and was just part of an ensemble who was nominated. Since she didn't have to worry about giving a speech she could just relax and enjoy the party and have fun.
Ironically Mad Men did win in their category and January did go up on stage but indeed, she did not say anything and was surrounded by the rest of the cast of Mad Men. Lead actor Jon Hamm, who plays January's husband in the 60s style macho man ad agency cable show was the spokesman for the group.
On the stage with January and Jon were also the other women of Mad Men - Elizabeth Moss and Christina Hendricks. Also on stage was Vincent Kartheiser and Bryan Batt.
January was wearing a very unusual black gown with a stunning gold yoke style neckline. January showed off her stunning shoes which she said were Jimmy Choos. They looked spectacular indeed.
The lovely Mad Men actress always looks amazing on the Red Carpet. She was dubbed one of the best dressed at the 2008 SAG awards where she wore a gorgeous pink Giorgio Armani Privé silk organize gown and Neil Lane diamonds.
I would not be surprised if she did not win "Best Dressed" or "Best Tressed" at the 2009 SAG Awards as well. Please follow us on Twitter at: https://Twitter.com/HairBoutique. I look forward to meeting new people from all walks of Twitter and learning from their Tweets.
