Victoria's Secret - Too Sexy For It's Brand?

A recent Wall Street Journal article headlined feedback from the current VS CEO who stated that Victoria's Secret had perhaps become too sexy for its own good. There have been a lot of discussion about this WSJ article about why VS thinks its too sexy and what is the goal of announcing that commentary.

Regardless of the too sexy reports, I have always been amazed by the fact that Victoria's Secret sends out over 400 million (as of 2005) catalogs per year and studies have shown that almost as many men as women. That is a whole lot of trees going under a whole lot of beds (for the men of course).

Because Victoria Secret stores are generally small with limited footage, they only offer their read-to-wear sportswear, swimwear and related accessories through the catalogs. This surprises some shoppers who travel to a VS brick and mortar and only find the lingerie and fragrance items but not the other VS clothing items. Some of the catalog-only items are actual bestsellers for the company which is part of the Limited Brands umbrella.

Daily Hair Tip
To protect against potential heat damage to your hair, always use a blow drier on the coolest setting and make sure to apply a good leave in conditioner that will protect the hair shaft from the dryer.
