CCH Pounder played the role of Captain Claudette Wyms is a veteran detective. Claudette, along with her partner Dutch, could be viewed as the voice of morality at the Barn. In the final episode, she admitted to Dutch that she was in the terminal stage of her illness. She appeared in all seasons of The Shield.
