Celebrity Hair: Ellen Pompeo

Introduction

Ellen Pompeo (born November 10, 1969 in Massachusetts) got her fast taste of prime time acting when she appeared as a guest on Law & Order in 1996. From that point she appeared in four relatively unknown films.

The hard working actress had her breakout role role in 2002 in Moonlight Mile playing Bertie Knox the sympathetic love interest of hottie Jake Gyllenhall. Even though she was a relatively unknown actress at the time she held her own with the likes of veterans Susan Sarandon, Dustin Hoffman and Holly Hunter. In fact, her performance generated Oscar whispers.

That same year she appeared in Catch me If you Can with Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hanks, Christopher Walken, Martin Sheen and Jennifer Garner. In 2003 she again appeared with Jennifer Garner in Daredevil starring Ben Affleck.

In short order Ellen had worked with some of the biggest stars in the business which helped her fine tune her acting skills. It all paid off. In 2004 she snagged the lead role as Dr. Meredith Grey in Grey's Anatomy. Now Ellen is making her own major splash on the very popular ABC show that airs on Sunday nights.

As Dr. Meredith Gray she has captured the hearts, minds and eyes of millions of TV watchers who lover her as a conflicted first-year surgical intern who is short on sleep and long on relationship entanglements.

It doesn't hurt that Ellen is absolutely adorable. Even though Ellen is a luminous blonde with expressive eyes women still like her. Indeed, she has that special attractiveness that crosses gender lines. Men would love to sleep with her and women would adore her as a best friend to shop and do lunch with.

Some star watchers have crowned Ellen as a Rene Zellweger clone. The two actresses do share similar skin and eye coloring and face shapes. Known for her hazel eyes and gorgeous milk and honey complexion, Ellen is reportedly a regular visitor to 30 Newbury Spa in Boston. The Medi-spa is overseen by Dr. John Anton and is famous for seven signature peels.

Although her look is more subdued for her role as a sleep-deprived intern, off camera Ellen goes for a tousled right-off-the-beach look. She tends to prefer wearing her shoulder length sandy blonde hair parted to one side.
