Jessica Simpson Hairstyle: Blonde Reality Star Rocks Modern Take On French Twist
Reality Star Jessica Simpson wore below-the-shoulder buttery blonde tresses coiffed into a modern version of a French twist when she stepped out on the Red Carpet at the premiere of “Extraordinary Measures” in Los Angeles, Ca. on January 19, 2010.
Jessica rocked the latest evolving hair fashion with her hair coiffed into the latest big pouffy French Twist. Her bangs were smoothed into a soft side-swept sweep of hair covering the top of one brow with just one long strand cascading down along one cheek. From the crown back her hair was backcombed into a high pouf and gathered into the traditional twisted seam running horizontally from the crown down to the nape of the neck.
Jessica buttery blonde hair was interwoven with lighter
platinum highlights around her face and on the perimeter of her hairline. Her blonde tresses created a striking contrast to her black turtleneck top and blazer.
Jessica’s hairstyle is a timeless classic but Jessica likes to add edge to her hairstyles, which she has done with this gorgeous French Twist. The height throughout the crown is extremely flattering for Jessica’s heart shaped face.
The long softly side-swept fringe makes her large brown eyes literally pop. Jessica amps up her look with a smoky eye, lots of eyeliner and slightly lighter eyebrows. Her look is finished with a slightly frosted lip.
The key to copying Jessica’s hairstyle is creating a proper profile. The key to this style is making sure the height it appropriate for your face shape. A twist with too much oomp is distracting.
One thing that is possible is that Jess is not wearing all of her own hair. In fact, she may be wearing a clip-in bang from her HairDo Collection and may have add-on hair from her collection which has been teased to create a piece of insert hair right underneath the top layer. Knowing Jessica’s hairdresser, I wouldn’t put it past both of them to think of ways to protect Jessica’s hair from any undue damage.
