Hair experts in the know believe the Ombre color trend is still going strong.  Those same experts believe red is also the happening hair color for 2013.  It was no surprise when Rihanna was spotted out in Paris rocking a new hair color.

Not only did she embrace the hot new red hair trend, it's also a color combo which could be classified as Ombre hair color design.

RiRi is now rocking a light red, almost honey shade, with a noticeable line of darker brunette roots.  Fans might question whether this is RiRi's real hair color poking out underneath.

Maybe, but knowing Rihanna and her famous celebrity hairstylist, it's unlikely.  The famous singer never does anything with her hair or fashions without some premeditated thought and planning.

I for one believe the red hair was carefully planned to shake things up.  In fact, RiRi has been red many times before and it is one of her most flattering hair color hues.

In fact, RiRi's new red hair made a huge splash when she rolled into an Azzedine Alaia cocktail party on June 4th wearing a sexy plunging neckline, red suede body revealing jumpsuit and perfectly applied burgundy lipstick.

The wildly popular singer completed her look with a snakeskin clutch and chunky oversized necklace.

It was a head turning combination which is what Rihanna loves to do.  She looked amazing, but doesn't she always?

Rihanna’s Laterst Red Hair Incarnation

Currently in Europe completing her “Diamonds” world tour, Rihanna has to keep things interesting.  Going with a new red hue, whether it's her own hair or a series of hair extensions or wigs, her latest color is right on target.

I personally love Rihanna's hair best when it's some shade of red.  I think it plays very well with her gorgeous skin and eye tones.  She also has a to-die-for face and eye shape which are only enhanced with red.

Rihanna Accidentally Bares All In Concert

Rihanna may have changed up her hair color to distract the media to her most recent wardrobe malfunction in Istanbul, Turkey on May 30th.

During that on-stage oops RiRi accidentally revealed part of her famous booty and other body parts which should be kept private.

It's the not the first time RiRi has had wardrobe malfuctions and it probably won't be the last, but it does always get her lots of media coverage when it happens.

Embracing the latest red hue with hints of Ombre is a perfect way to divert attention away from her stage performances and malfunctions and her private off-stage love life.  When you have a world class hairstylist who travels with you around the world what have you got to lose?
