JIB And Crash Hang With Inspector Clouseau

Viewers looking for an insiders' look at The Pink Panther 2 will get that opportunity with a new JIB & CRASH integrated promotion on Cartoon Network this February.

Cartoon Network's Hollywood insiders Jib and Crash track down Inspector Clouseau, played by Steve Martin, to get up close and personal with the famous French inspector for a surprise interview. The 60-second comedic piece will run throughout the Cartoon Network commercial schedule the week of Feb. 2, promoting The Pink Panther 2 opening nationwide on Friday, Feb. 6.

"Sony Pictures continuously challenges us to think differently and raise the bar on creative opportunities at the network," said John O'Hara, executive vice president and general sales manager of Cartoon Network and sister network Adult Swim Ad Sales and Marketing. "JIB & CRASH does just that, while entertaining our viewers at the same time."

Cartoon Network is getting the Hollywood scoop with the network's newest characters JIB & CRASH, two oddball puppets hunting for information on the latest movie releases. Serving as a custom promotional opportunity for movie studio marketing partners and airing as interstitial content, JIB & CRASH will do everything from interview celebrities at the set of their films to feature exclusive sneak peeks of upcoming movies.

Jib and Crash could not be any different from one another. Jib thinks he is a veteran entertainment reporter in "the biz," however, he really can't tell the difference between a roll of duct tape and film stock. While he tries to play it cool around celebrities, Crash is a cameraman and super movie geek who would give his left big toe for an autograph from basically anyone in Hollywood.

Cartoon Network and Sony Pictures have collaborated on film promotions in the past including Spider-Man 3, Open Season, Surf's Up and Daddy Day Camp.
