3rd Academy Awards® Governors Ball To Be Produced By Special Events Producer

Beverly Hills, CA – Special events producer Cheryl Cecchetto, for the 22nd consecutive year, has been chosen to produce the Governors Ball, the celebration that will follow the 83rd Academy Awards® presentation on Sunday, February 27, 2011.

Cecchetto, along with her Sequoia Productions team, will work with Governors Ball Chair Jeffrey Kurland to manage every detail pertaining to the event, including decor, entertainment, food and personnel.

“This year’s Governors Ball will highlight the elegance of Hollywood's musical tradition, with a dazzling atmosphere that echoes the great clubs of past generations” said Cecchetto. “The result will be an exciting and original guest experience, in keeping with the Ball's reputation as the premier event of the season.

The Academy’s 2011 Governors Ball will be held in the Grand Ballroom on the top level of the Hollywood & Highland Center®.

Sequoia Productions produced the recent G’Day USA 2011 Black Tie Gala Los Angeles; later this year, Sequoia will again produce the 63rd Annual Emmy® Awards Governors Ball.

The Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2010 will be presented on Sunday, February 27, 2011, at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center®, and televised live by the ABC Television Network beginning at 5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. ET.
