Gwyneth Paltrow Hate, Revenge, Bad Feelings

Blonde actress Gwyneth Paltrow is on the new British Vogue cover and in an interview with the magazine she talks about feelings of hatred and revenge fantasies.  She also talks about frenemies and even Madonna.

UK's Telegraph

According to UK's Telegraph, here are some excerpts from the interview, out Thursday:

Gwyneth On Being Mean And Hateful:

"Oh yes, I can be mean. I can cave in to gossip. I can ice people out and I can definitely harbour revenge. In fact, I'm having a situation right now with a friend where I'm feeling pretty angry."

At least Gwyneth recognizes the impact of negative emotions.  She says "But revenge is corrosive and it doesn't make me feel good. I'll wake up in the morning and think, 'Ugh, I feel terrible', and suddenly realise, 'Ah, that's why. I'm holding on to so much hate."

Trainer Tracy Anderson's Madonna Split

"Yeah, it's good that she doesn't train Madonna any more. It was too much. She keeps people waiting - it takes up your whole day."

Exercising To Remain Slim

"Oh, I had to work hard to get it like this, but now I'm here it's so great because I don't have to think about it. I can just enjoy life. What a relief is that. I can eat what I want, as long as I exercise, which is just as well, because if I put the word' diet' into my brain, I immediately gain a stone."

Gwyneth On GOOP (her website)

This isn't the first time Gwyneth has spoken about her uncontrollable hate. Last year she took to her GOOP newsletter to discuss her anger process for dealing with a frenemy.

Back in the day, I had a "frenemy" who, as it turned out, was pretty hell-bent on taking me down. This person really did what they could to hurt me. I was deeply upset, I was angry, I was all of those things you feel when you find out that someone you thought you liked was venomous and dangerous.

I restrained myself from fighting back. I tried to take the high road. But one day I heard that something unfortunate and humiliating had happened to this person. And my reaction was deep relief and...happiness. There went the high road. So, why does it feel so good to hear something bad about someone you don't like? Or someone you DO like? Or someone you don't KNOW?

I once asked the editor of a tabloid newspaper why all of the stories about a famous British couple had a negative bent. He said that when the headline was positive, the paper didn't sell. Why is that? What's wrong with us? I asked the sages to shed a little light."
