Susan Sarandon's Daughter Eva Amurri Played Tragic Newlywed

Eva Amurri (Eva Maria Livia Amurri) the beautiful daughter of Susan Sarandon and Italian director Franco Amurri, has been acting since she was a child (2002 in "The Banger Sisters").

Last night she played a tragic young newlywed who dies on NBC's "Mercy" after only being married for a few days.  The episode was truly a tear jerker and Eva's acting was wonderful.

Eva's role on "Mercy" lasted for two weeks (January 13th and January 20th) with the first week showcasing her arrival at the hospital before her upcoming wedding only to be diagnosed with a serious case of cancer.

The tragedy of her cancer is softened by getting married in the hospital, which was arranged by Nurse Chloe played by Michelle Tractenberg.   The newly diagnosed newlywed undergoes surgery with her death occurring in the second episode which wrapped up last night (January 20, 2010).

At first I didn't recognize Eva because in many ways she is a chameleon.  Last night her eyes gave her away.  I think Eva has very beautiful and expressive eyes which are very distinctive.  Not unlike her famous mother, Susan Sarandon.

Of course Eva was amazing in her role on "Mercy" as she has been in previous roles I have caught.  I loved her in "Californication" as a college student turned stripper.

Past Fashion Police Sting

Susan and Eva appear to have a very close mother-daughter bond.  I remember back in 2008 when Eva called out her mother out for her lack of fashion sense and then New York magazine called out Eva as well.  While talking to the press at a Max Azria show during Fashion Week, Eva revealed that her mother, Susan, was not interested in fashion.

Eva said about Susan "She doesn't care. She wears her gym clothes from when she comes back from the gym until night. Sometimes she puts a jacket over it if I really beg her to, but she doesn't really care very much."

When Eva wore Hammer pants to the Chris Benz show New York Magazine published their comments and asked Eva why she choose "clingly trousers with knee-length droopy crotch over a cute frock?"  New York Magazine also said "Do we need to have an intervention here, Eva? We can't believe Susan didn't send Eva off into the corner to think about what she'd done while wearing a dunce cap."

Obviously the celebrity mother-daughter team both were slapped by the fashion police which does happen when you've made it into the world of Red Carpets, which Eva and Susan have.

The only question I have about Eva Amurri is why she isn't as big a celebrity as her mom.  Granted she is only 24 (turning 25 in March of 2010) but she's been acting since she was a child.  She is so incredibly talented, spunky and beautiful like her mom, I would have thought she would be setting the world on fire by now.

Daily Hair Tip
For a low maintenance style, try to work with your natural hair type rather than against it. For example, if your hair is naturally wavy, select a hairstyle that works easily with the waves.
