Ford Supermodel Of The World 2009 Announces US Rep

FORD SUPERMODEL OF THE WORLD 2009 ANNOUNCES THE U.S REPRESENTATIVE

New York, NY - On Saturday November 21st, 2009, FORD Models hosted their annual U.S Supermodel of the World Search. This year was the first time in 30 years that Ford ran the search in two cities on the same day to find one winner.

Over 1000 girls flocked to New York and Los Angeles from all over the country for the shot at representing the U.S at the international finals in Sao Paolo, Brazil in January.

Saturday evening was an anxious time for all. As the Ford Models team deliberated on who would be the next U.S representative and possibly the next Supermodel of the World, candidates restlessly awaited the announcement.

Eventually FORD Models Director, Caroline Poznanski, revealed Olivia, a 16 year-old high school student from Oregon, had taken the top spot for the U.S Supermodel of the World Search.

We had such a great turn out this year, the best year ever, says Caroline Poznanski.  It was definitely a difficult decision. This will be the first year in history where in addition to selecting the U.S representative, we will sign one girl and follow over five other girls who have massive potential.

Olivia was in California with her family to visit Disneyland when they heard about the competition. On impulse, they decided to travel to Los Angeles to test their luck. Turns out it was more than luck Olivia had on her side. As a beautiful sixteen-year old girl who loves acting and is heavily involved in musical theater, she has more than it takes to be the next

FORD Supermodel of the World

Although it was a tough decision as all the girls had a great potential, Olivia stood out as being the most model-ready. The Ford team takes many things into consideration when making their selection age, shape, modeling experience, height and most importantly personality.

Based on the overwhelming response this past weekend, plans are already underway to further the reach of the search next year.
