The gorgeous Jada Pinkett Smith plays the lead role of Christina Hawthorne. This is Jada's first lead role in a TV series with HAWTHORNE. Even more impressive, Jada is also executive-producing the show which is fabulous.
I watched the first episode and was thrilled. In my humble opinion TNT has another hit on their hands.

Even better, Jada wears her natural raven hued curls in all their glory in a variety of hairstyles ranging from down and loose with soft ringlets to neatly pulled back into a curly pony. The hairdresser for the Hawthorn show does an amazing job of showcasing Jada's natural texture.
Jada mixes up her hairstyles by wearing it pinned up in a ringlet infused updo when she's not contained her curls in a pony. Her natural curly tresses cascade a few inches below her shoulders and looks absolutely stunning.
Jada's Curly Haired Daughter
Actress Hannah Hodson plays Christina Hawthorne's daughter Camille who wears her hair in a very curly natural style. Unlike Jada's below-the-shoulder curls, Hannah's copper kissed light chocolate strands are chin-length and worn very full.

Hannah previously appeared on TNT in the critically acclaimed original movie The Ron Clark Story, for which she won a 2007 Young Artist Award for Outstanding Leading Young Actress in a Television Movie.
Male Nurse With Natural Curls
Even the token male nurse Ray Stein, played by David Julia Hirsh, wears his short hair naturally curly.
