This time I experimented with their Crowning Glory Hair & Scalp Cream. It is formulated to give hair a super-enriching conditioning, and you can leave it in for as little as 15 minutes, or even overnight. Since my hair tends to be on the dry side, I really wanted to put it through its paces.
WiseWays Herbals Crowning Glory Hair & Scalp Cream is a natural, completely herbal treatment made to moisturize and condition dry, damaged, or permed hair and/or treat a flaky, itchy scalp. Summertime can be rough on anyone’s hair, and anything we can do to keep our “crowning glory” in good condition is a big plus with me.
Oils of sesame, coconut, castor, jojoba, and rosemary, with olive oil extracts of sage, burdock, gotu kola, walnut, birch, nettles, and chaparrel, vitamin E, beeswax, dandelion flower, and onyx *gem essence.
About *Gem Essences
In case you’re curious about gem essences (I was), here’s what I found out about them. Gem essences are made by a process that combines high vibrational gems and minerals with pure water. The energetic qualities of these gems and minerals are infused into the water, making the many gifts of the minerals themselves more accessible.
Regarding onyx, it is said to be a "grounding" stone, and keeps energy within the body and prevent its drainage by stress. It is also said to help to change bad habits (how great is that?). Onyx is a great grounding stone, and some forms of it are said to help you sleep better. Finally, it can provide comfort, promote balance, and relieve stress. Some say it protects you from negativity, and creates strength while going through bad times! Now with all than in a hair product, how could it not be effective?
WiseWays Herbals Crowning Glory Hair & Scalp Cream comes in a clear glass jar, with the WiseWays purple-printed light blue label featuring their gorgeous long-haired “wise woman.”
When you open the lid, it’s the rosemary and sage scents you notice first. Made from a blend of wonderfully aromatic herbs, the fragrance enhances the feeling that you are treating your hair and scalp with an exceptional product.
Using WiseWays Herbals Crowning Glory Hair & Scalp Cream
I would describe the “cream” more as a salve; it’s thick, golden-green colored, and feels rich and oily on the fingers. It feels wonderful being massaged into the hair and scalp, too.
I gave it the ultimate stress test; I didn’t wash my hair for two days, then did a killer workout on the treadmill and the nautilus, and then topped it all off by going swimming in a heavily-chlorinated pool. My hair felt like a handful of dry twigs by the time I was through!
I scooped out about a half-dollar size dollop of the Crowning Glory Hair & Scalp Cream, rubbed my palms together, and worked it into my scalp. I made sure that every section of my hair was coated with it, then did some laundry, washed the dishes, made the bed, cleaned out the catbox, etc. All things considered, I left the cream on for two hours.
Then I hit the showers, and shampooed. It took two cycles of shampooing, but my hair rinsed out squeaky-clean. When my hair dried, what a HUGE difference! It looked and felt fabulous! (In case you’re worried about this product making your hair greasy, forget it. It completely dissolved with shampoo.) Not only did it look shiny and lustrous, but it felt like rich, heavy silk. The conditioning and moisturizing effects are just not to be believed.
WiseWays Herbals Crowning Glory Hair & Scalp Cream is a true revitalizing treatment, and anyone’s hair could greatly benefit from even a quick application. It’s rare to find a product that like this that doesn’t weigh the hair down with emollients, and actually makes the hair better, bouncier, shinier, and softer.
On my own scale of 1-10, 10 being the best, I give WiseWays Herbals Crowning Glory Hair & Scalp Cream a 9.5.
