Navi Rawat Hairstyle - How To Copy

Introduction

Navi Rawat

Navi Rawat (Navlata Rawata) was born June 5, 1977 (the Year of the Snake) in Malibu California.

The beautiful Gemini actress stands 5'6" and is of East Indian (her father) and German descent (mother).

Navi is proud of her mixed ethnicity and was quoted on AskMen as saying “I don’t see it as something that sets me apart in a negative way at all,” she says. “It’s not something where I feel different from everybody else. I think it’s something positive. It makes me interesting, makes me separate.”

The lovely Navi is a graduate of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. The beautiful star has a degree in English and American Literature.

The exotic actress had her first role on 2000's Popular. Navi gained public awareness in 2002 when she appeared in six episodes of Fox/TV's hit series "24". She played Melanie.

Although she was a supporting cast member, she was excellent as Soraya in 2003's "House of Sand and Fog."

The O.C.

Navi's first recurring role as Theresa Diaz in The O.C. put her on the map with fans and the media.

Her role as Theresa for three years paved the way for her eventual co-starring role in CBS' "Numbers" as Amita Ramanujan.

During her six years on "Numbers" she has logged ninety-nine episodes where she has played the love interest of David Krumholtz as Charlie Eppes.

Throughout the course of the series, which may or may not be picked up for a seventh series in the Fall of 2010, Amita worked alongside Charlie helping the FBI solve crimes using advance mathematical equations. Amita and Charlie eventually fell in love and married at the end of the Spring 2009 Season.

Navi has made guest appearances on ABC's Castle in 2010 and on Flash Forward in 2009.

Navi Rawat Numb3rs

Since her stint on The O.C. and throughout her time on 90210 Navi has worn her luscious raven black tresses long.

Her hairstyles were compatible with her roles and represented her well. Although her character was stunningly beautiful, she was also a well-educated mathematician and scientist. Definitely providing a character with exceptional brains as well as beauty.

When Navi's character Amita finally married Charlie, she wore her hair with lots of waves and brushed back from her hairline with lots of volume and fullness anchored at the crown.

Hairstyle: Long Dark Cinnamon Wavy Hairstyle

Navi's famous for wearing her clouds of raven black tresses in long, lush, romantic and classically texturized styles.

She alternates between wearing her long strands down in soft waves cascading around her shoulders or bone straight with just a hint of bend throughout the edges.

Sometimes she mixes things up by wearing a half up/half down hairstyle.

She might even try out a myriad of twists, chignons and buns. Navi wears hairstyles which show off her gorgeous skin tone along with her beautiful eyes and lips.

Hairstyle Color: Dark Raven Black

Hairstyle Highlights/Lowlights: Navi's hair doesn't appear to have either highlights or lowlights.

Navi's hair is a gorgeous rich color with amazing shimmer, movement and shine. She does not appear to wear hair extensions, but in Hollywood, anything is possible.

Texture: Navi's hair, which is very thick, appears to be in excellent shape with natural bend and wave.

Her long lengths consist of subtle layers placed throughout the interior and around the perimeters of her hairstyle.

These layers add extra movement and work well with flat or curling irons to achieve a smooth sleek result embedded with alternating textures.

Navi Rawat with David Krumholtz

Navi sometimes wears her hair in a nape neck knot and ponytails which work well with her thick and shiny hair.

Fringe: Navi tends to wear her tresses brushed off the front of her hairline from an off center part. In the past she has worn a wide range of parts including side parts and off center parts. She has also worn side swept fringes.

Face Shape: Depending on how Navi wears her hair, her face appears to alternate between square with a more pointed chin which is partially heart shaped.

She has gorgeous eyes and lips which help to balance her face shape. By allowing her hair to flow softly along the perimeter of her face, she enhances the beauty of her eyes and lips without drawing attention to her prominent chin and nose.

Hairstyle Works Best: Navi has a beautiful hairline. Her hairstyle works best for tresses which are shoulder length or longer and all one length or with subtle layers.

The best texture for recreating this hairstyle is straighter hair with some bend or natural waves just like Navi. Of course tight curls might not work with this hairstyle, but any curls which can be temporarily straightened could also be an option.

Navi's hairstyle can be copied with or without a fringe. However, a fringe might be problematic for those with naturally curly tresses.

Hair Tools Required: This style is best achieved on freshly cleansed hair properly prepped with styling products to give the hair appropriate workability.

Note: Follow your regular cleansing routine whether it includes CO (Conditioning Only), WO (Water Only), DS (Diluted Shampoo) or undiluted formula.

Depending on the type, texture and current condition of your hair it may or may not be appropriate to utilize a leave-in conditioner, defrisant, styling spray and/or cream, sculpting hairspray, shine spray and/or serum drops.

Hair wax is also optional for creating different textures. If you want lots of volume you may want to consider using a volumizing program with shampoo and root spray.

Utilize the products which work best for your hair type, texture and history.

Hairstyling Notes & Options

Navi's waves can be created by blow drying with a long diffuser attachment on a blow dryer to encourage natural waves and curls.

If preferred, hair can be sectioned and rolled into a wet set with self adhesive rollers and pins. The hair can be dried under a hood or similar style dryer.

Another option is to use pin curls or separate hair and roll individual strands around a finger and then pin.

If you prefer a more finished or textured look you can utilize, a small, medium or large barrel curling iron to fine tune wave formation. Use a long tail comb to create a desired part and a wide tooth comb to detangle.

To add strategically placed volume, fullness and/or length you may wish, if your base hair is long enough, to play with clip-in hair extensions, clip in fringes or a clip-in pony for a completely different look.

Steal Navi's Hair Style

Navi Rawat Numb3rs

This style is ideal for shoulder length or longer tresses which are medium in thickness. Follow the steps below to re-create Navi's sleek chignon hair style:

Start with a perfection hair cut which is all one length or with very slight layers throughout. Rachel's hair is cut in a mid-back length. The front angles start below the chin and flow back into longer progressive layers.

1. Begin styling by washing your hair in lukewarm water with a product designed to add back moisture and to treat colored or highlighted hair with tender loving care.

Optionally you may prefer to create this style on aged hair or you may wish to do a Condition Only (CO), Diluted Shampoo (DS) or Water Only (WO). Select the best option for your hair type, texture, condition and history.

2. Rinse hair well and then apply a moisturizing rinse-out conditioner focusing the products on the areas of the hair that are most dry or damaged. If your hair is fine or thin you may wish to skip this option or only apply to the ends of the hair.

3. For extra conditioning, if appropriate for your hair type and texture, substitute the rinse-out conditioner with a deep conditioner that is allowed to soak down into the hair's shaft.

4. Finish with a cool/cold rinse to lock in moisture and add additional shine.

5. Towel blot or plop to remove excess moisture.

Apply a conditioning detangling spray or leave-in conditioner or apply a hair product cocktail (depending on your hair type, texture and condition) consisting of leave-in conditioner mixed with anti-frizz product. If your hair is naturally curly or wavy you may also wish to use a styling cream or balm for the last step.

Note: If your hair is prone to frizzing apply a defrisant product or mix with your other styling products. Many celebrities are big fans of Phytodefrisant.

6. Detangle strands with a wide tooth comb working from the ends to the roots. Create either a center or side part, depending on how you wish to style your hair.

7. For fullness, lift and volume throughout the crown, apply a volume enhancing product to the roots.

8. Separate strands into 1" to 2 1/2" sections and blow dry with a long finger diffuser or a boar's bristle round brush.

After each section is dry, wrap it around your finger in a ringlet curl and pin against the scalp. Continue to do this until all of your hair has been dried, re-curled and pinned. The larger the section wrapped into a pin curl, the larger the finished curls.

Note: If hair is naturally curly, do not use fingers to blow dry since this can add to frizz. Use a round boar's bristle brush or rest curls in diffuser bowl instead.

For added volume you may wish to consider a vent brush as you blow dry. Blow dry the top sections of hair using fingers to lift individual top strands and direct the air flow from ends to roots.

9. Once hair is 100% dry, unpin each ringlet. Bend over at the waist and lightly shake hair to loosen the newly formed waves with loose curls along the perimeter.

Finger pick and tousle to arrange waves and curls.

Avoid using a brush or a comb which will break up the newly formed curls. Lightly backcomb the crown area to create lots of height.

10. Gently smooth down the teased area. Apply a shine serum, shine spray or hair cream to seal in moisture and add a soft shine similar to Ravi's.

Work the product into the palms of your hands and then rake with your fingers from the ears down to the ends (avoid the roots to eliminate danger of any type of oil buildup).

11. When your hair is styled to your desired texture, you may apply optional hairspray for hold and finish.

12. Adorn with a small jeweled clip or flower hair accessory if desired.

With the advantage of the revolutionary clip-on hair pieces from Jessica Simpson and Ken Paves' HairDo line, short haired people can instantly morph to much longer lengths and copy Rachel's easy waves. It's truly a hair miracle.

Summary

Navi Rawat DC Media

In the finale of Season Six of Numb3rs Navi's character, Amita, married her longtime love Charlie Eppes.

They were all set to leave the United States and go to Europe where Charlie had a promising new teaching and research assignment.

Although Navi Rawat's role as Amita may be finished on Numb3rs, the actress has a bright future in any role she pursues.

Don't expect for Navi Rawat to fade from view. She will certainly appear again in another hot role in the near future, in either TV or films.
