pillzone_1528_7965961.gif (13467 bytes)Even though my hair is on the dry side, I found that this shampoo did a great job for me. It’s also safe for permed and color-treated hair.

The blend of hydrolyzed human hair keratin protein, essential fatty acids, and aloe vera helps hair keep its own natural strength.

After using it, the hair has a lot of shine and body, and best of all, isn’t weighed down with heavy conditioners.

Usage

Use a small amount of the shampoo on wet hair and distribute it throughout the hair. Rinse thoroughly.

Packaging

The standard Joico packaging is clean-looking with its platinum plastic bottles with black lettering. The price of 8.45 ounces ranges from a low of $3.95 USD to a high of $6.00, not counting tax or shipping.

Fragrance

Joico’s fragrance is wonderful! It’s fresh, clean, and has a light, almost pineapple-y scent. Although it doesn’t linger long on the hair, it makes shampooing a delightful experience.

How I Tested This Product

I tried Joico after a morning workout. Since my style is the Bed Head hairdo, there is always a lot of gel, spray, and styling stick in my hair. It does a great job of gently cleaning the hair of product residue with lots of satiny lather, and it left my hair silky and shiny. It was also a pleasure to use it in the shower—that fresh scent was invigorating!

Daily Hair Tip
To combat cowlicks apply pomade or setting gel to the spot & blow dry w/ nozzle aimed downwards. Longer hair helps weigh down cowlicks as will tiny barrettes or clips. Pulling hair into a ponytail or braids will tighten down the cowlick. Experiment until you get results.
