Empire Education Group Is Committed To Local Communities
Empire Education Group is committed to the local communities in which our students live and our schools operate.
Through Empire Gives Back, a system-wide fundraising initiative designed to support local womens shelters, Empire has donated more than half a million dollars in donations and free services to support women and children affected by domestic violence.
Each of Empires 100+ schools has adopted a womens shelter in the community to support. Students and staff not only fundraise for the shelter throughout the year, but also offer free beauty services to women and children who are residents at the shelter.
There is also an Empire Gives Back Scholarship program available to shelter residents interested in a career in cosmetology.
In addition, each October, Empire Education Group hosts the National Day of Beauty. A one day event in which all proceeds from salon services in every school go directly to that schools adopted shelter.
Recently, Empire joined forced with Judge Jeanine Pirro, highly respected former District Attorney and star of The Judge Pirro Show, to promote the National Day of Beauty.
Along with Empires Chairman and CEO, Franklin K. Schoeneman, Pirro appears in a Public Service Announcement supporting the National Domestic Violence Hotline. The PSA is currently running on television stations throughout the country.
Empire students learn how to become the first line of defense in the fight against domestic violence by identifying the signs, offering help by providing numbers or individuals for victims to contact and encouraging victims through support.
The students also, through the school, adopt a local shelter and donate items, participate in fundraising activities and give back to those who are in need of help.
