Relax With An Indo-Asian Hot Stone Massage

Tuesday, March 15th, 2011

RELAX WITH AN INDO-ASIAN HOT STONE MASSAGE

Remember the last time you were stress free?

The Indo-Asian Hot Stone Massage spa treatment offered at Absolute Nirvana Spa in Santa Fe, New Mexico can offer you a hot stone massage that will melt the stress away. The massage utilizes hot stones to locate specific stress points in the body, in essence leaving the mind completely relaxed.

Warm stones are gently placed on and under your body. As you are massaged with the stones, you feel the stress melt away… relaxing the body to a deeper level. Stone massage has a profound effect on the mind and body while facilitating the treatment process.

Utilizing hot stones and a blend of organic jojoba, safflower and grape seed oils, enriched with sea algae, Japanese Green Tea, and Hop Extract massage oils, the massage truly focuses on relieving the body of external stress.

Just imagine as the hot stones are gently placed on the body, the warm massage oil guides the stones to the high tension areas. There every moment counts as the stones massage the muscle, at which point the mind wonders off to a deep mind relaxation and a place of blissful happiness.

It is also recommended to leave the massage oil for a several hours to infuse the body of nourishment and moisture. (more…)

Savvy recession-instas invest in at-home luxuries during lean times

In the down economy, the need for thriftier beauty and lifestyle options has increased.

Instead of running to the spa for facials and massages, the salon for waxings and nails and the gym for yoga, the at-home treatments, products and tips below offer wallet-friendly alternatives for tighter budgets and stressful lives.

* Bring the spa – and the results – home. emerginC, a trusted, all-natural cosmeceutical collection with an A-list celebrity clientele, offers a full line of medical grade products that deliver spa-quality DIY facials using natural, effective ingredients.

Try PerfectSense LavaShells, self-heating Tiger Clam shells that heat up in only five minutes with no electricity and provide up to two hours of constant warmth for a deep, relaxing massage. (more…)

Lovers Massage Oil For Valentine’s Day

Monday, January 24th, 2011

Sometimes the very best gifts are those which show special thought and tender loving care (TLC) and have been custom made.

The following massage oil recipe can easily be made at home.  The ingredients can easily be found at any local health food store or specialty store.

If you want to make your gift especially romantic find a sexy bottle for your mixture and decorate it with a red bow.

[amazon-product text=”Thymes Limited Edition Frasier Fir Red Candle 12 oz / 340 g” type=”text”]B0046HKUUI [/amazon-product]

To create a really special Valentine’s gift, purchase a few red scented candles and include that in your special massage gift package.   Or buy regular red candles and dress them with a few drops of vanilla or Ylang Ylang oil which will set a very loving and relaxed mood.

To really do it up right, consider covering your massage table with red silk or satin sheets and offer to provide the massage right on the spot.  Or if you’re shy, make the oil and include one or more gift certificates for a personal massage.  Let your imagination guide you. (more…)

Chateau Lorraine fully utilizes powerful antioxidants found in wine grapes

Los Angeles, CA — Lewis Laboratories recently unveiled Chateau Lorraine, a new line of natural skin care products that utilize powerful antioxidants including resveratrol found in wine grapes.

The grape extracts used in the Chateau Lorraine products are super-concentrated in a special process that maximizes their potency and effectiveness, providing unmatched beneficial ingredients in every drop.

The new line includes an antioxidant body lotion, grape seed body oil, intensive body butter, nourishing body wash and grape seed body polish.

“Because of our experience in creating some of the world’s most well-known skin care products, we were uniquely able to develop this special product line,” said Ron Lewis, CEO of Lewis Laboratories. “This is the world’s first skin care product to fully maximize the benefits of the wine grape.”

The company’s proprietary Vinizome technology transports these rich ingredients more deeply into the skin than any other skin care product available. The Vinizomes encase the active ingredients, ensuring they are protected until they are absorbed precisely where most needed, providing moisturize, nourishment, renewal and protection. (more…)

Annoyed With Previous Hair Removal Treatments – The LightSheer Duet has all the Answers

Monday, August 23rd, 2010

While many of us associate the summer days with silky smooth legs and arms we all know the cooler seasons are best for laser hair removal.  New technology is now making this process easier, comfortable and faster than ever before!

The laser is called the LightSheer Duet and dermatologists across the country are referring to it as the gold standard in laser hair removal.

Here is why:
What annoyed us about previous hair removal services?

–  We spent an average of $60 – $75 to get a Brazilian wax once a month and it just keeps growing back.   Add in the cost of other hair removal maintenance and you can total more than $1,200 a year.

–  We constantly cut our legs with those horrible cheap razors.

–  We got razor burn and red irritated bumps from shaving our armpits everyday.

Traditional laser treatment took up to an hour for a woman’s legs – who has that kind of time? (more…)

Fresh Black Tea Instant Perfecting Mask

Friday, August 20th, 2010

My long time HairBoutique.com partner in crime – Edan Kencayd – convinced me to visit the Fresh boutique located at North Park Mall in North Dallas.  I’ve known about the brand since it was introduced and have used the hair care line.  Never the skin care or make-up.

Actually while I understand and value great skin products I’ve been a fan of the Karin Herzog line for the past five years.  I’ve had great results from the oxygen infused products.

As far as make-up, I tend to cherry pick from some of my favorite lines have long time favorites and lean towards the less-is-more principle.

So why was I going to the Fresh boutique?  Edan had met the manager at a recent fashion event who invited her to come by and check out the North Park location.  She told Edan to bring a guest, which turned out to be me. (more…)

6 Questions To Ask Your Med-Spa Professionals

Saturday, April 17th, 2010

Although the economy has caused traditional spas to take a big hit, med or medi-spas are still thriving.

There are many reasons for the evolution of the med-spa trend including the fact that injectible services which offer a wide range of “temporary” physical changes, need to be routinely reapplied to maintain the changes.

(Image of Injection Needles – Haap Media, Inc., – All Rights Reserved)

Yes, injectibles are generally more affordable than hard core surgical techniques, but they do require consistent maintenance.

Injectibles offer a wonderful range of options for customers concerned about going under the knife or with limited budgets.

Injectibles are still serious business which can alter your appearance in a positive or negative way.  Before you jump on the injectibles or med-spa bandwagon do your homework. (more…)

“The key to maintaining gorgeous hair during warmer weather is keeping it healthy and vibrant,” said Boychuck. “Glossy caramel and golden highlights that frame the face can really brighten your complexion and freshen-up your overall look.”

Vivacious shades of red, auburn and strawberry blonde are quickly heating up the locks of women everywhere from red carpets to Boychuck’s salons.

“Going red is a great option for bored blondes and brunettes looking for a fun change,” added Boychuck.

“Vibrant shades of crimson and strawberry blonde can revitalize the tresses of those who have kept the same hair color for years, as well as provide a splash of excitement for those willing to turn up the heat.” (more…)
