Mo'nique Says "Precious" Changed Her Life And Lives Of Many

Mo'nique stopped by to chat with Ryan Seacrest who started out by telling the actress "you know, everyone I've talked to said that you are a lock on wining the Academy Award tonight.  How does that make you feel?  To have that kind of buzz  walking into this kind of event.  And for your career, how it's going to change the path."

Mo'nique said "I'm honored and I'm appreciative.  But I was as honored when I did "Soul Plane" and it got the buzz.  And I was as honored when I did "Showtime At The Apollo" I'm as honored when they say the Mo'nique Show on BET.  I'm honored for the whole process of what this fantasy land is."

Ryan "what will this do for you?  I mean, "Precious" obviously had an incredible impact.  It was a tough story.  What will this do for you in terms of your career.  What do you want it to do?"

Mo'nique "You know what Ryan.  This movie is so not about us.  To say what it will do for me.  Well it's changed my life.  And we're hoping the message of this movie changes lives.  And when that happens, everything is different because people are now healing."

Ryan "I want to talk to this week about that win.  Alright?  Good to see you sweetheart.  Congratulations."
