Farouk Systems Hosts "Wellness & Peace Conference in the Middle East
Houston, TX - Farouk Shami, Founder and Chairman of Farouk Systems recently hosted a historical conference devoted to "Wellness & Peace" in the Middle East.
It has been a dream of his for many years to share with his staff, educators, sales force and distributors, the peace, tranquility and healing powers of his homeland.
Over 70 countries sent representatives as well as numerous US distributors to Amman, Jordan to witness first hand the beauty and harmony housed within this part of the world.
It has also been the dream, of Farouk Shami to show the world and the beauty industry that through beauty makers; peace and love for your fellow man can be achieved.
To open the conference, Farouk Shami overwhelmed with great pride and emotion welcomed over 3,500 attendees. He was honored to introduce and share the stage with special guests International Beauty Ambassador, Mr. Mohamed El Sagheer of Egypt and His Excellency, Mr. Akel Biltaji.
As an added honor, Mr. Shami had the privilege of welcoming a special appearance by His Excellency, Mr. Marouf Al Bakhit representing His Majesty, King Abdullah II and Her Majesty, Queen Rania of Jordan. Mr. Marouf Al Bakhit warmly welcomed everyone on behalf of the Royal Family and the country of Jordan.
In addition to these very special guest speakers, the audience was given a global tour of beauty through opening presentations by Team Jordan, Team USA, Team Mexico and Team Australia.
Each team proudly displayed their countries hair and fashion statements allowing everyone to view talent from around the world.
In addition, guests were introduced to all the latest developments, product launches, marketing strategies and public relations for 2006. Shauky Gulamani, President of Farouk Systems set forth his plans for the second half of the year.
This included an array of new product launches, new Advanced American Technology utilizing Nano Silver plus a clothing line called Farouk Mode and the company's latest new product development, CHI Nail Lacquer.
To assist with bringing the latest Sales and Marketing Strategies, Marketing Director, Kathryn Kihle and Becki Laney for 2006, both mapped out their ideas and plans for all distributors to adapt and put into place.
Ms. Dixie Pelfrey, Vice President of Shows & Education presented a detailed presentation explaining what is new and exciting for Shows, Education and CHI Merchandising. While Creative Directors Mikko Horttana and Jason Yates gave the audience a preview of their upcoming trend collection.
As an added highlight, attendees were treated to a tour of Petra, Madaba, Jaresh and Mt. Nebo. Here the peace and wellness of the Middle East was shared among 3500 beauty makers. Each one had the opportunity to experience the tranquility, beauty and spiritual renewal only found on the shores of the Jordan River. Despite the turmoil and negative press often accompanying the Middle East, Farouk Systems was able to bring together many nations, religions and opinions to a common and peaceful ground.
At the close of the 2006 annual International Conference, "Wellness & Peace" Farouk Systems recognized top national and international sales, educational achievements and members of the Farouk Systems family with the following awards:
