Suave Conditioner Salon Formula

You know, it's true that sometimes you don't have to pay a lot to get a lot. I tried Suave Conditioner Salon Formula and was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it.

Suave products, by Helene Curtis Inc., are a nice low-end line which many prefer because of the cost alone. When I tested it, I found it was as good as many of the more expensive conditioners. It contains some good ingredients such as a complex of vitamins A and E plus Pro-Vitamin B5 that enrich the hair.

After shampooing, squeeze a small amount of the conditioner into your hand, and massage it through your hair. I like to leave it on while I shave my legs, etc. Rinse well when you're ready to step out.

This conditioner comes in a black plastic bottle with pink and white lettering. I'll bet not many people think of this, but I've tested so many products that I've come to appreciate bottles that are not slick and slippery. The slightly matte surface of the bottle makes it easy to hold on to.

Suave Conditioner Salon Formula has a nice, fresh scent. It doesn't overdo the perfumes, and the fragrance doesn't linger.

How I Tested This Product

After shampooing, I worked a small amount of the conditioner into my hair and left it on for about 10 minutes. At some of the salons I've been to, I notice that, when they apply the conditioner, it seems as if they just slide it over the surface of the hair. When I apply my own, I really work it in. I like to feel I've coated every hair! After rinsing, my hair felt luxuriously soft.

Shampoo Ingredients

Water, cetearyl alcohol, distearyldimonium chloride, hydoxyethylcellulose, cetrimonium chloride, fragrance, isopropyl palmitate, potassium chloride, methylchloroisothiazolinone, methylisothiazolinone, disodium EDTA, DMDM hydantoin, glycerin, retinyl palmitate, panthenol, citric acid, tocopheryl acetate, comfrey root extract, witch hazel extract, yarrow extract, hops extract, lemon peel extract, propylene glycol, methanmine.

I liked this conditioner, and found it was every bit as good as some of the higher end conditioners I've tried. It made my hair soft and shiny, and did not weigh it down with a lot of greasy additives.

Jane's Rating

On my own scale of 1-10, 10 being the best, I give Suave Conditioner Salon Formula a 9.
