Angelina Jolie Voight was born June 4, 1975 in Los Angeles, California to a prominent actor, Jon Voight.  Her nicknames include Angie, Ange, AJ and Catwoman. 

She has had an extremely controversial career and private life including two marriages to leading men and a relationship with Brad Pitt which caused a major controversy over Pitt's marriage to Jennifer Aniston.

Angie is an Oscar-winning actress who become popular from her role in the "Lara Croft" series of blockbuster movies.

Off-screen, Angie has become prominently involved in international charity projects, especially those involving refugees. 

To show her support for abandoned children she adopted three orphans from different impoverished countries.  She also has a biological child with Brad and is expecting twins for early Summer 2008.

She often appears on many "most beautiful women" lists, and she has a personal life that is avidly covered by the tabloid press. 

Before becoming a world renowed actress, Angie worked as a professional model in London, New York and Los Angeles, and has also appeared in music videos for such artists as Meat Loaf, Lenny Kravitz, Antonello Venditti and The Lemonheads.
