'Keira Knightley'
Biography

Keira Christina Knightley was born to actor Will Knightley and playwright Sharman Macdonald on March 26, 1985 in Teddington, Middlesex, England in the UK, which is a suburb of London.

Keira knew what she wanted at the very early age of three when she asked her parents for her own agent.   Her parents allowed the young Keira to work on productions during her summer holidays.

Her first major role occurred at the age of 9 in Moira Armstrong's A Village Affair in 1995.  Her breakthrough role occurred in 1999 as Sabe, the Decoy Queen in Star Wars starring Natalie Portman as Queen Amidala.  She won the hearts of many new fans when she played footballer Jules Paxton in Bend It Like Beckham in 2002.

Her career has continued to explode as she co-starred in the Pirates of The Caribbean movies.  She also starred in a controversial film Domino about a modern day female bounty hunter.

In January of 2006 Keira posed 13 feet underwater in London to raise awareness for Water Aid, a charity dedicated to providing clean water to people in developing countries.

The young actress wore over $74,000 of jewels and a clingy white gown.  When asked about her experience underwater Keira said "I loved it, maybe I'll become a Scuba Diver".

For her roles in both Pirate movies and in Domino her naturally fine/thin tresses were coiffed by celebrity hairdresser Martin Samuel.

Keira is known for her beautiful high cheekbones and her stunning eyes.  She has worn her hair a variety of lengths and hues but according to her celeb hairdresser, she often wears hair extensions for both on and off screen appearances.
