Term: Zinc Oxide

A naturally occurring skin protectorate. Provides natural block for skin. Acts as a barrier to moisture, wetness, environmental toxins and the sun's rays. This ingredient is often found in formulas for diaper ointments & some forms of lip and skin balms. Often used in some form by lifeguards and other people who spend large amounts of time in the sun to protect from burns & dryness.
