Term: Permanent Hair Color

The majority of permanent hair color formulas include ammonia and when mixed with peroxide, has the ability to lift pre-existing color from the hair and deposit new color in place of the old. Permanent hair is permanent. To maintain the color permanent haircolor needs to have matching color applied to the re-growth every 4-8 weeks, depending on how fast the hair grows and other variables.
