Term: Perimenopause

A period of transition from fertility to menopause. During this transition period the body's production of estrogen diminishes. Perimenopause may cause hair loss due to hormonal changes. Some people experience subtle hair loss while others will experience significant or sudden loss.

Daily Hair Tip
Visit your hairstylist on a regular basis. Regular trims are essential for great-looking hair. Short hair should be trimmed approximately every 4-6 weeks, medium length hair 6-8 weeks and long hair needs to be trimmed every 8-10 weeks.
