Hair Glossary

Micro braids are made when the client's natural hair is braided with "add-on" natural hair braids. The "add-on" braids range in length from 8-20 inches and come in a variety of colors and styles. Micro braids are individually added to the client's own hair for fullness, new texture or color. Generally micro braids are added to 12 - 24 sections of hair, depending on the client's desires and the amount of available hair to work with. Adding micro braids can be a long process lasting from 5-10 hours depending on how many braids are added into the client's own hair and other considerations.
