Term: Color Melting

Color Meltins is a type of ombré hair coloring technique.

In color melting, two or three hair color shades may be used on each individual strand. Each shade is blended with the side of the hair color brush so the colors appear to melt into each other.

Like ombré, color melting can be done with natural-looking hair color shades or with any of the fun colors of the rainbow.

Daily Hair Tip
In a Clairol Professional survey 33% of the respondents reported that they preferred to have their hair colored in a salon rather than risk doing damage at home. 50% of the participants said they liked their colorists best because of friendliness while only 38% valued good advice about haircolor or the fact that the colorist kept up on the latest trends.
