This Week's 20% Off Code: SOFTANDSILKY

Christina María Aguilera (born December 18, 1980) is an American vocalist-songwriter, on-air personality, actress and was a well-known judge on NBC’s The Voice.

Ironically, the New York native is judging a reality style national on-air contestant.  Back in early 1990 at the beginning of the Christina Aguilera hair journey the feisty performer started her road to success on Star Search in early 1990.

She later starred in The Mickey Mouse Club from 1993 to 1994, effectively knocking Jessica Simpson out of the running for the iconic show.

Although Christina is currently known for her cotton candy white blonding hair embellished with a bold array of pinks and vibrant hues, she hasn’t always rocked a white blonding base.

The Christina Aguilera hair journey has taken many twists and turns on the way to her current avante garde hairstyles she showcases on The Voice, which are truly spectacular.

In 2001 she started to flex her hair muscles by appearing at the Grammy Awards with dramatic cornrows embellished with a rainbow of hues. That was just the beginning of the array of bold colors and hairstyles she adopted from that point on.

Long Raven Black Hair

Christina Aguilera With Justin Timberlake in 2003Take a walk down memory lane to October 2002 and you’d find a much raunchier Christina with long raven black hair.

Christina not only dyed her previous platinum blonding black, but she began referring to herself as “Xtina”, got a tattoo of the nickname inked on the back of her neck and showcased an array of controversial piercings.

During that time her fourth studio compilation, Stripped was released and rose to number two on the Billboard 200.

When pressed about her long raven hair Christina told the media that the black hair showcased her true personality.

The piece was well received by critics, although Aguilera’s vocals were overlooked as she began to cultivate a more sexually provocative image, having taken part in nude and semi-nude photo shoots, notably her cover for Rolling Stone, featuring Aguilera wearing only boots and an electric guitar.

Back To Platinum Blonde

After her time with raven black hair Christina decided to transition back to flaxen blonding inspired byChristina Aguilera Embellished Braid  a mature Marilyn Monroe.

After going back to platinum Christina also cut her hair short which triggered speculation that her tresses may have been damaged going from such drastic extremes in color in a short period of time.

Christina continued to rock a 1920s-1049s Hollywood glam look which was also popular at the time with Gwen Stefani and Dita Von Teese.

After her turn as a glam platinum Marilyn Monroe the multi-talented performer dyed her hair cherry blonding and recorded a jingle for a Mercedes-Benz ad.

In 2005 Christina’s life took a big turn in the personal sector. She married in November of 2005 and gave birth to her son, Max Liron Bratman, in Los Angeles on January 12, 2008. The marriage didn’t last.

Christina filed for divorce from Bratman on October 14, 2010, seeking joint legal and physical custody of their son, and specifying September 11, 2010, as the date of separation.

Although she went through a rough patch involving public intoxication, by the time she first appeared as a Judge on the first recording of The Voice, she seemed to be getting her life and career back on track.

Her hairstyles on The Voice have been eye popping due to her work with celebrity hairstylist David Babaii who continues to create amazing hairstyles often studded with an array of pinking highlights and low lights.

Christina On Ellen

Christina Aguilera On Ellen To promote her latest musical endeavor Christina stopped by Ellen to chat about The Voice, the other judges and her love of Christmas.

Co-judge Blake Shelton made a surprise appearance on the show and performed a duet with Christina who wore a full eyebrow skimming fringe with her stick straight long platinum strands.

Although Christina has worn her fine strands in a wide range of lengths from a short choppy bob to super long straight strands, she seems to have settled into a white blonding platinum base.

Known to wear both clip-in and fusion hair extensions as well as wigs, The Voice judge loves to showcase edgy accent colors, styles and braids.

Recently she wowed The Voice audience when she appeared with a pinking embellished big curly style.
