Follow the steps below to create perfect curls for straight, wavy or curly strands.

Straight Hair – Perfect Curls For All Hair Types

o Apply volumizing mousse to newly cleansed, rinsed, towel blotted and detangled wet hair.

o Finger rake Ouidad PlayCurl Volumizing Mousse from roots to the ends.

o Separate hair into four to six equal sized sections of hair. Braid entire head into four to six large three strands tight braids.

Start a few inches from the roots and braid down to the ends. Gently tie off the ends with a hair friendly cloth elastic or similar bandss. For tighter curls you may wish to create smaller, tighter braids.

o Once braids are created spray a styling mist like Ouidad Styling Mist or finishing spray to set the braids.

o Sit under a hood or bonnet style dryer allowing hair to air dry.

o Once hair is dry, remove the braids. Finish the look with a shine serum or light styling cream.  Apply 1-2 drops of serum like Ouidad Shine Glaze Serum into the palms of your hands.

o After washing and detangling your hair, apply Ouidad Tress FX styling lotion to wet hair.

o Apply styling cream or gel to newly cleansed, rinsed, towel blotted and detangled wet hair. If hair tends to frizz mix a defristant cream and/or spray with the styling cream.

o Divide hair into four to six sections and double strand twist the hair to the ends. To create a double strand twist, take a section of hair, split it in half and twist one half on top of the other.

The amount of hair sectioned off will determine the size of the wave pattern. Remember, the bigger the section, the fuller the wave.

o Spray each section with a styling mist like Ouidad Styling Mist Setting & Holding Spray for hold.

Allow hair to dry naturally or use a long finger diffuser.

o Once hair is fully dry, gently unwind each section.

o Finish by adding a dollop of pomade, serum, gel or similar styling cream to palms of hands. Rub the pomade, serum or styling cream into the palms.

Tight Curls - Perfect Curls For All Hair Types

o After washing and detangling your hair, apply Ouidad Climate Control Gel to wet hair.

o Divide hair into two sections. With each section make one double stranded twist.

o Allow the hair to air dry almost completely. When the hair is close to being dry, stretch each twist to elongate the curl as much as possible. Finish drying hair completely with a hair dryer.

o Untwist the strands and lightly apply.

Rub the serum into your palms and then run your hands through your hair while pulling it into a makeshift ponytail to distribute the pomade evenly.

Kinked Curls - Perfect Curls For All Hair Types

o After shampooing, apply Ouidad Moisture Lock™ Leave In Conditioner to wet hair.

On top, apply Ouidad Curl Quench Moisture Gel and distribute evenly throughout the hair.

o Using your hands in a combing out effect to help pull the hair straight, dry hair completely.

o Take a small section of hair and wind it around a curling iron. Let it set to create the desired wave.

Repeat on all remaining sections to set the whole head.
