Term: Rockabilly Hair

This was a very popular hairstyle in the late 1950s and involved applying lots of gel to the hair and brushing it up around the front of the hairline as well as in back. It was adopted from African American youth who grew up their hair and gelled it up. It was also known as a flat top.

Daily Hair Tip
When towel drying wet hair never rub hair roughly or twist up into a towel. This will potentially damage delicate hair cuticles. Instead carefully blot hair with superabsortant towel and squeeze hair gently to remove moisture.
