Term: Brachioplasty - Upper-Arm Lift

A brachioplasty or upper arm lift is popular with those who lose weight because it removes sagging under-arm skin. The surgery is not only popular, but advanced providing good results with minimal scarring. New York City plastic surgeon Berish Strauch discussed the surgery in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery magazine back in the 2004 timeframe. The incision starts near the elbow and goes up the arm and into the armpit in an undulative curve. The result is a thinner and less noticeable scar than the traditional straight line down the back of the arm. The scar may be somewhat visible on the back of the arm and is not as apparent on the front, according to Dr. Strauch.

Daily Hair Tip
When towel drying wet hair never rub hair roughly or twist up into a towel. This will potentially damage delicate hair cuticles. Instead carefully blot hair with superabsortant towel and squeeze hair gently to remove moisture.
