Definition  
An aesthetician may also be known as an esthetican or facialist. This is a licensed professional who is skilled in the care and treatment of the skin. Aestheticians may specialize in a wide range of skin care areas including working with plastic surgery injectibles, providing post op skin care for invasive plastic surgery or offering long term maintenance, age reversal and skin care perfecting. Depending on the state, aestheticians may attend school full time for a period of several months.
